One of the best little cafes in Pasadena. Great atmosphere, beautiful patio, awesome chill spot. It is one of the few remaining cafes in the area that provide a atmosphere suitable for study. Worth a visit

New ownership has ruined a gem

I had been going to Zephyr for two years, and was a big fan. In the last couple of months the place has changed ownership, and have turned a charming comfortable cafe into an all hours night club and hookah smoking joint. They play South-Asian and Middle Eastern techno non-stop and the garden is filled with thick tobacco smoke, which means the indoors area is packed. I was willing to tough it out with head-phones and an I pod and then the ownership started acting increasingly rude to myself and my study group, bumping into our chairs several times and harassing us for having cups of water that we brought in with us. The last straw came when they told a group of 6 of us that we had to leave because we hadn't spent enough money. This was after several of us had bought drinks and food. Bad ownership and the kitchen can't even get the food orders right. Used to be a great spot.

So cute at night

Patio is gorgeous. I wanted to study out there but there wasn't enough lighting. I didn't like the fact that the bathroom was outside. I was wearing boots and each time I walked, I made sooo much noise on the hard wood floors. I loved the atmosphere, it's like a little house with rooms and sofas. Employees were very friendly and my white Christmas tea was really good too. Cash only with a "nice" convenient ATM inside.
