Shin’s has the best martial arts instructors in this valley by far. Before choosing Shin’s, my son tried out three different martial arts schools and hated it. My husband I were ready to give up the idea of martial arts until our neighbor told us her son went to Shins. Even though we practically had to bribe him in to check out their facility, once he saw the gym it was like he immediately made up his mind. At the other schools we tried out, my son felt like the instructors would more “tell” him what to do, rather than “teach” him how to do the karate moves. Shin’s is definitely more kid friendly, and their programs are more geared towards the kind of goals we had for our son. We didn’t just want him to learn self-defense, but we wanted him to learn self-control and focus. With the kind of instructors who know how to teach our son in a constructive way, we finally feel like those goals are being met after choosing to come here.

Our son made huge progress in 4 months. He can easily do flips now and is able to have his first belt test. It is very affordable with flexible schedules to choose from. Sir Danny is definitely top-notch.

WOW!!. I've been bringing my kids to shins for almost 9 months now, and both my husband and I agree that shin's is one of the best karate studios in Valencia. After moving to the area a few years back, and being new to Valencia, we were unsure of what was out here in terms of activities and we wanted to enroll the boys in something fun that would keep them both busy and entertained. We tried endlessly to keep them committed to soccer, basketball camp, and a few other activities but nothing stuck with them. I'm not sure whether it was the coaches they had or just lack of interest, but we found shins in this area from a referral from our neighbor, and after trying it out a few times we've been here ever since. The price is a little out of our personal budget, but we agree that it is worth every penny. The facility is literally minutes from our house, so that was a plus (no driving all the way across town for practices!!!), but also my boys come home and talk non stop about shin's. They're crazy about the kicks and flips class that they have there, and unfortunately, my husband and I have been convinced to buy our kids a trampoline now. Staff is great, the classes are fun and energetic, and I will continue to have the boys attend shins.

The Best Place in Town. I am surprised that Shin's doesn't have a rating of five stars. Why would they be voted Best Martial Arts School for the last nine years if the were so so. I researched all of the martial arts schools in town and they are the only school that didn't try to pressure me into signing up. They let me take classes for a week so that my kids would be comfortable. All the instructors are positive and motivating and they don't have kids teaching classes.
