good sandwiches, good potato flat bread, good portions, fantastic burger, like taste, full day committment, nice other worker
Terrific Breakfast and Lunch Spot. I used to come here everyday. The breakfasts are delicious, and they give generous portions. The avocado and cheese breakfast burrito is soooooo good, as is the breakfast panini and pancakes. For lunch, I'd grab either the pre-made turkey or roast beef sandwich, take it home, and pop it in the toaster so it's nice and hot.....I was seriously addicted to these sandwiches for a while. The grilled skirt seak salad is awesome, and the korean noodles are not like the authentic korean noodles, but good enough that I was also getting this everyday. The ambience is casual, with a loft feel, and it's always packed. I highly recommend this place.
breakfast/lunch place with strange hours.
It says on this site that hours are 8am to 3pm, but in reality, they only serve breakfast from 8am to 10:15am, and lunch from 11:30am to 3pm. I went there around 11am and they told me that they are "switching over the grill" and only thing I can get was their pre-made salads which didn't look too appetizing (looked like salad bar at whole foods). The woman at the register was rather cold just like the atmosphere of the restaurant: she didn't even acknowledge me when I walked in, didn't want to talk to me until I asked her.
I have never heard of a place that have dead time in their hours for more than an hour. They should close the place, or at least have a sign up (I didn't see any sign on the door, and even on their website, it only says it if you look through their menu).
They have parking under the building which you get hour free with validation, but finding parking inside the garage was hard, and there were hardly any signs to lead us out of there once I parked. I give them a point for their food which I didn't get to eat, and another point for the other worker who was nice enough to give me a validation anyway.
It's certainly not a fair review since I didn't eat there but it seems like it'll be only good if you work nearby and can walk there- not the kind of place I'd want to drive to. I won't go there again.
Try this Place.
I went there last week for the first time. I had the cheesburger with fries and coleslaw. The burger was fantastic as were the fries and coleslaw. The lady had the chicken panini with pesto. It had great flavour but the ratio of bread to filling was too large. I'll go back again because there is a dearth of good sandwich places on the westside.
This place is a good alternative to Clementine's if you don't want to deal with the drive and wait over there. Not as good but enjoyable to say the least. Bay Cities is good if you have time and can deal with the full day committment that the sandwiches demand.
Gourmet Cafeteria. If you dont feel like cooking up something fancy for lunch, just drop by lemon moon and get a great dish for lunch to go, or enjoy it in the pretty water garden areas around this office bldg on olympic. the mint lime-ade is fantastic, the goat cheese stuffed chicken au jus accompanied by caramelized walnuts, soft fried potatoes and herbs is almost like a gourmet meal for the price one pays at a cafeteria! Definately worth a stop.
this place is great ;. Super reasonable prices for exceptional food. The owners other restraunt is Giraffe and I love it but it's expensive. Lemon Moon features many of the same dishes at a third of the price. The food is fresh and thoughtfully prepared. This is not an ordinary restraunt. They do a huge delivery business to the studios. Go with a couple of friends and order three different items and share. The special of the day is always good ; order it and you will be blown away. The melon lemonade is original and delicious.
Gourmet Lunchtime Treat. I love this place for business lunches or when I want to treat myself. It is bright and airy with really delicious food. The daily specials are always a safe bet for flavor (salmon skewers were awesome) and their blue plate special is good for the sandwich and salad crowd. Portions are generous and the special lemonade is a tasty refresher (try watermelon or mint). Parking can be confusing at first, just head to the second floor down for open parking (valet is a rip off anywhere in LA and this place is no exception). A must try!
Save yourself! AVOID THIS PLACE!!. Where do I begin? Is it the 35 minutes I waited for my take out order? Is it the EXTREMELY unfriendly and borderline outright rude service I have received there on several occasions? Is it the almost laughable small portions (i seriously received 4 fries with my microscopic hamburger). Or maybe it was when I ordered online (you cannot order by phone) and the price suddenly jumped up by $2 when I got there because of what they called a computer glitch. That glitch has happened more than once. All of this and you'll be WAY overcharged. But you'll get a really nice bag (think Bloomingdales) to take your 4 fries back to work.
Thank goodness!. Finally, a reliable restaurant in the neighborhood for a no-hassle lunch that both tastes good and is good for you. I've been known to come here three times a week, but when your other options are chains or so-so ethnic, you would, too. Yeah! Only complaint: needs more seating.
Great Food. This is a great work lunch place, efficient, great food, very quick. The salad selection is fantastic.
needed in the neighborhood. Great for lunch with girlfriends or breakfast with the morning paper, this stylish restaurant combines delicious food and a cheerful atmosphere. The portions are ample and dishes varied. I've been many times now and find the staff extremely efficient and pleasant. Validated parking and plenty of seating make it all the better.
