Editorial Review for The Dock Downtown – by Kim Cooper
In Short
Formerly only open to the decorator's trade, The Dock now welcomes the public to its twin warehouses packed with 20,000 square feet of fab furnishings from top-end retailers like Anthropologie and Saks. From wooden bedsteads to Moroccan hanging lamps, deep leather armchairs to silk Indian bedspreads, groovy modern rugs in thick wool and jute, decorative stone Buddhas to slightly bumped scented Illume candles, prices are 50-80% off retail and the quality is very high.

I bought a couch from the Dock Downtown. After waiting 6 weeks for the couch to be delivered ,it arrived damaged. The associates in the store were completely unhelpful and unwilling to rectify the situation. DO NOT buy anything from this store unless you are in the market for a giant headache. I would not recommend them.
Pros: parking
Cons: terrible customer service

I ordered a custom couch. Not only did it arrive 2 weeks late, it was the WRONG couch. The Dock Downtown refused to exchange it for the right one. They just kept telling me "our policy is that all sales are final". Fine. I knew that going in to it. I spent $3,000 knowing I could not return my couch. But they sent the WRONG one. What is the policy on that? After several calls and personal visits to the store, the owner Ali never called me back. Unfortunately, this story ends in small claims court. Terrible customer service. And its a shame because their inventory is nice. But I wouldn't recommend anyone spend their money there. Go spend it somewhere they know how to fill an order and treat a customer.
