Rocco's Pizza

In Short – A couple of Brooklyn expats created this lively pizza joint, the original location of which has since spawned the LACC-area follow-up in the old Vito's space. Quintessential Italian-American equates to checkered tablecloths, ceiling fans, big chalkboards, and of course maps of the motherland. The menu includes thin crust staples and Sicilian-style pizza by the slice or pie, plus specialty pizzas like pesto, penne vodka, eggplant parmigiana or ziti pie. Other items include hot wings, pastas, sandwiches, Caesar salad, calzones and lasagna.

Save Money:: Lunch specials, served seven days a week until 4pm, include two slices of cheese pizza with Caesar salad and drink for about $5, as well as choices of pasta specials.
The Extras:: Kids specials include mozzarella wedges, chicken fingers, Italian mac and cheese, pepperoni pizza fingers and half-orders of pasta, all under $5.

Was this a Risi E Bisi restaurant or is it the same place/menu with a new name? haven't been back to the neighborhood in a while. Somebody enlighten me so I don't make the trip for nothing 5 stars if it's the same one. --just curious

Great food-worst waitress ever!

Went in last night and had a great meal but the waitress was the worst I have ever experienced. Threw our menus on the table without a greeting, grabbed plates out of our hands, all in all a terrible waitress. Short brunette with blue-ish eyes may have been having a bad night but your in the service industry go home or just be nice. Wont come back anytime soon because of her. Just a horrible server, must be a terrible person to deal with.

Pros: Pizza, cheese wedges
Cons: very poor service

Good Food

I too have been searching for a decent Pizza place and for the west coast, feel lucky they are here. No its not like back home but its good. Other entrees are awesome.

Extra thin crust is the way to go...

Me and my guy were back in the old neighborhood last week. Before we moved downtown Rocco's was our spot. It was Friday night and the place was jammed. The extra thin crust pie is the best around. Piping hot right out of the oven with mushrooms and basil. Rocco has my heart. Sorry i can't get there more often....Open downtown please Rocco.....We love you.

Best Pizza & Customer Service

Happened to stumble into this place by complete accident. I have to say the pizza was great and the atmosphere was absolutely wonderful! Loved the cold beer and GREAT customer service!! Very clean establishment!

I had a little problem that needed solving ( not relating to the restaurant ) and a sweet guy by the name of Steve that worked there really helped me out. Couldn't have ran into a nicer guy! He told me where I could get the sausage I was looking for and boy was it good!!! I'll have to come back to California for more!!

There were 10 of us, most from different states, and we had a wonderful time while at Rocco's. I was more than pleased! Will definitely be back same time next year!!! Paula
