Great attorney, excellent. It was a long road and I can't say enough how happy I am that I had caring and experienced attorneys to get me through it. Mr. Spurgeon's calm demeanor helped to keep me calm in the worst of circumstances with an outcome that seemed out of reach. I am grateful to the entire staff for everything they did and for putting up with my ups and downs on this ride. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone who needs personable, experienced and caring individuals who really know the law to get them through a tough time.

Caring Family Law Attorney. I did my research on John Spurgeon before I retained them for my divorce and child custody hearing. I too read the reviews, but I completely disagree with what one consumer stated. I think that he or she is mistaken because there were 3 well educated and experienced attorneys (including Mr. Spurgeon) that handled my case. Since retaining John Spurgeon and his office, I feel more at ease because I am taken cared of. He has defended me and my son at court and has gotten me a very fair and reasonable child support/alimony order. It's hard enough going through a divorce and when you marry someone, you never think that you will be in this type of situation, but I did. John Spurgeon and his staff were not only understanding of my situation, but also did their homework. He is an excellent attorney and a good listener. His fees are VERY reasonable and fair. Other attorneys charge an arm and a leg per hour but Mr. Spurgeon didn't even charge me for my consultation. He was very fair and honest and gave me the power to decide what I wanted to do with my divorce. This was my life and my case and I appreciate him for thinking about my needs. He was not money hungry, but instead SAVED me thousands and thousands of dollars. While anything related to divorce is not pleasing, my experience with this office was as good as it could have gotten. I was treated like a person and not like a bill. My son and I thank you for your help John and keep up the good work! I would recommend this office and staff to anyone who has any family law issues and wants to get it settled.

Total Rip Off!. I cannot say enough bad about this place. I now have a pathological fear of attorneys based on this traumatic experience. The were very nice and seemed professional when I consulted them about my child/support divorce case, and they told me I had an excellent case. I consulted with John Spurgeon and as soon as I wrote them the retainer fee, I got pushed off onto one of the less experienced, less professional attorneys. They charged me for EVERYTHING! They even charged me for their mistakes when they lost information, wrote it down wrong, etc. My experience was a nightmare. I am only writing this review as a warning to potential customers, not to be malicious, but PLEASE dont go here. Don't be like me and just go to the first person who popped up on the internet. Do your research. Also, I seriously doubt the validity of the positve reviews posted here. I cant imagine anyone having a good experience with this law firm. I dont know about him as a CPA though, he probably is good, since he sure as hell keeps good records of every last dime!

Divorce is a difficult experience, a good lawyer helps. Mr. Spurgeon and his team are professional and personable. I recommend this firm if you are pursuing divorce.

FANTASTIC FAMILY LAWYER. I had a favorable outcome with my divorce action because I hired John H. Spurgeon & Associates, Inc., Ms. Rayos' responsiveness helped me achieve the visitation rights I am entitled to with my children. Mr. Spurgeon's staff is friendly and courteous.

Great family law attorney. I was very happy with the legal representation I received from John H. Spurgeon & Associates, Inc. Mr. Spurgeon and his associates handled my divorce professionally. John H. Spurgeon & Associates were able to resolve most of my of my case without going to court. My husband and his attorney refused to settle two issues out of court. Mr. Spurgeon and Ms. Rayos did a wonderful job at the court hearings representing my side of the issues. I ended up with the fair settlement that I was seeking. I found the entire staff to be caring and easy to work with.

DON'T GO THERE!!!!!!. If you go there, you will see what a lawyer's office should NOT be. He's a CPA and that's what he cares about - your bill. He doesn't know your case. He doesn't care. He doesn't even know what's in your file. You're better off doing it yourself than hiring him. Go to someone who knows what he or she is doing. It's worth the few extra bucks to avoid this disaster. His office is a training ground for new attorneys with no experience. Too bad they won't know that they are learning it all wrong until it's too late. They are setting themselves up for a horrible career.
