better than goldilocks. This review is for both the West Covina and Cerritos location. Everything on the menu reminds me of home. I have brought family and friends to both locations on numerous times, because the food is great. If you want to avoid waiting, arrive 15 minutes early than the standard lunch time or dinner time; and expect to wait 30 minutes on the weekends. Service as well isn?t that great, but again this place is still around and thriving because of the FOOD.

Good food but poor and terrible customer service!!!. Salo-salo serves pretty good and authentic Filipino food. My boyfriend and I have dined there on 3 different occasions and found the service to be very poor. We visited during off-peak hours, but still received very bad service. We were seated right away, but the server did not come to greet us promptly. On our last visit, we sat near the kitchen, and waited for our food for at least 45 minutes, while 2 other parties have come, were seated, served and gone. To add insult to injury, as we waited, a staff decided it was time to mop the floor, filling the air immediate to us with strong and almost offensive cleaning solution smell! Once the food came, the server did not bother to come back and ask how everything was until he brought the check over. I was very embarassed to bring my Caucasian boyfriend to this restaurant, being a Filipino myself, I know of our tradition to be very hospitable people. I'm not sure if the servers were not as hospitable towards us because of my companion's ethnicity. Though the food is good, the very bad service leaves a bad taste in my mouth! I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone expecting decent service!

Best Filipino Grill. Salo Salo Grill is one of the best FILIPINO Restaurants. The service is promt and the food is excellent. The only downside is, it is always packed. They have another location in Glendale, the food and service just as excellent. If your a novice at FILIPINO food, you should try their grilled platters. You'll surely keep coming back for more.

One of the best Filipino restaurants in L.A!. Citysearch describes Salo Salo as a chinese restaurant. IT IS NOT. Specializing in Filipino banquet style "inihaw" or grilled seafood and meat, Salo Salo is definitely my top choice for those family lunches and get-togethers. I recommend their family size platters containing an assortment of grilled specialties. For those who are interested in Filipino cuisine, this restaurant is a good place to start. Yes, they do have the staple "adobo" and "pansit", but I recommend being more adventurous and try more of their home-style cooking.

Colorado Needs a Salo Salo. My sister and her boyfriend came in from Colorado, and I wanted to treat them out to a truly unique experience, so I chose to take them to Salo Salo. This is probably one the best places to take 1st timers from CO because of the clean, contemporary, and welcoming atmoshpere combined with really good service make this the ideal choice for locals and out-of-towners. But the #1 reason is the food! I ordered the assorted Grill platter and a platter of "Sizzling Sisig" although it's not prepared the typical way with the traditional ingredients of pigs ear, liver, and misc. pig pieces, it probably has a larger appeal for Filipino food novices. The only negative is that my sister and her boyfriend now WISH Salo Salo was also located in CO!!
