Very average middle-eastern food. I was excited to try Wahib's because it's so rare to find a non-Asian, non-chain restaurant in Alhambra. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to my expectations. I had the chicken and lula kebobs and both did not have much flavor. The rice was interesting with bits of ground beef and pine nuts. But, it also was bland. Even the hummus was bland.

In terms of service, I thought it was pleasant and quick. The decor is fine. I did enjoy the high ceilings.

I would recommend Carousel in Glendale or Aristos in Torrance instead for good middle eastern food.

Good Value Middle Eastern Restaurant in the SG Valley. I'm a fan of good Middle Eastern food, and in the San Gabriel Valley it can be pretty hard to find anything authentic, let alone tasty. I drove by this place many times, but finally decided to try it. Compared to most fancy Middle Eastern restaurants around LA, Wahib is pretty worn and run down, but it has the atmosphere of a mom&pop restaurant. While they use the moniker of "Middle Eastern", the menu also states that they are the best "Lebanese Food," just an FYI.

I went twice before writing this review: The Shredded Lamb (w/ rice) was so-so. The Lamb Kebab plate fared better, but was overcooked (well-done, burnt). However, the saving grace would be its GREAT value: They give away Hummus (fresh) for FREE(!), and it's really tasty. There's enough for 2-3 people easily, and the bread they give with it is freshly heated. In addition for Lunch (not sure about Dinner), they offer a choice of their fresh Lentil Soup (really flavorful, healthy) or a Salad.

Prices ranged from ~$7 - 10 for Lunch and considering what they give you, it's a great bargain! It's nowhere near the best Middle Eastern food, but it's a good value if you're craving some and you're in the SG Valley.

A must go back again place!. We just came back from this restaurant and we love it! We used to drive far all the way to Glendale to eat at Carousel and now this will be our permanent place for Middle Eastern food. The hummus is delicious and the best part about it is that it's free! Great food fresh and authentic, great service, and great atmosphere! We can't wait to go back and try every dish.

delicious!. This place is the best. Their falafel are the best!!! Their plates are extremely generous (whenever we go, we just order one for the both of us) Best deal ever!! All the pita bread and Hummus you could eat, the meal comes with a soup or salad. And of course i always get the fresh baked baklava to top everything off for just 99 cents!

User review by gbaykal. The food is actual Lebanese food not Jordanian, not Palestinian, not Israeli. I think a ton of restaurants in So. Cal claim to be real middle eastern food but do not taste no where near the real stuff. Especially the hommos! That is the best way to test a restaurant. Wahib's is very authentic with a twist on some things. The bakery is great and the meat pies rock. I like it because I am Lebanese and get the real stuff when I go eat there. I hate getting disappointed and it happens a ton at many restaurants.

In Alhambra and Hungry?. Every time I travel to Los Angeles, I go to many places, but Wahib's is always a MUST visit. They have some of the best Middle Eastern cuisine, period. The portions are huge and the warm pita and humous and olives that start every meal get you started off right. Always great daily specials and the sandwiches are awesome. The fattoush salad is a favorite.

Warm and inviting and good food, what's not to like? Oh, and the prices are very reasonable too!

Damn, but I'm hungry just thinking about it and am 3000 miles away.....

One of the first!. This place has been in business for a long, long time! Thanks to the usual faithful and loyal patrons. The food is mostly Lebanese style, authentic and is pretty good compared to Carousel's in Glendale. Open lates!

The Heart Of Arabic Food. If you are looking for an Arabic restaurant that isn't in the Typical Sence, then come to this restaurant which is located near Downtown Alhambra. The food & service plus the envoirment of this place actually goes Middle Eastern looks. Whabbi, the owner of the place, also does catering to a large clientele. They really do the very best in Middle Eastern cuisines, and no waiting nor worrying about it being coward. Take a try, you'll enjoy it.
