Editorial Review for Cha Cha Cha--CLOSED – by Kim Cooper
The Scene
Still run by the Prado family, the former Confete has been transformed into an upscale riff on the popular eastside Cha Cha Cha--with a bar. The deep, narrow dining room is like an elegant Latin courtyard playing with interior and exterior space: niches with flickering votive candles, tableside palms, cigar-box murals, and decorative wrought-iron window accents add to the romantic vibe.
The Food
Fans of the Melrose location will recognize many menu items, but with patriarch Toribio Prado in the kitchen, familiar favorites soar. Affordable tapas provide a terrific meal for friends to share. Sweet and hot coconut shrimp are fat, crunchy-fried morsels delicately basted with glorious Serrano-honey-cilantro sauce. Black bean tamales pair soft, sweet masa with stripes of subtle tomatillo sauce, sour cream and spiced beans. Entrees like smoky, peppered salmon come with delicious fried plantains, rice and beans.

the food is bland and not too great. that's all there is to say, not much substance...like their food.
Pros: decor
Cons: price, bland gross food

I've actually never been, but I just found out this location is CLOSED (per their answering machine). They do have a location in Silverlake though and the message says they are looking for a new location in West Hollywood.
