favorite club, nice good music, hot staff, like people, expensive drinks, fun atmosphere, amazing decorations
I was one of the promoters that first promoted this club on fridays when it opened as Bardot. I was there for almost 2yrs. The crowd was always chilled and friendly and so was the bar staff. The dance floor is kinda small but then its a small spot.
The only two things I did not like about this spot is one of the managers who is clearly a midget with a personality disorder usually stands by the door and give my buddies a hard time for no reason. He obviously did not have many friends growing up. The other thing I don't like about Bardot is that its attached to the over sized and menacing Avalon. Every time something goes wrong with Avalon, Bardot always gets shut down as a consequence, its not fair but thats what you get from egotistical fire marshals.
I heard that the current Fridays is run by one of the worst promoters in Hollywood. Yikes, the count down to refurbishment starts.

They need to get off their high horse!.
I have been going to Bardot for years and loved going there because of its fun and friendly atmosphere... all that changed this past month.
I had made arrangements with the club in advance for my birthday party and was told to submit a guest list and everything would be taken care of. Less then 24 hours before my party I was notified that another party had booked the club, so I was out.
Then... 2 weeks after a girlfriend of mine made the same arrangements with the club for her bday and was assured there would be no issues, and she and her guests would be on the guest list.... again this was all a huge LIE because when we got to the club they told her that they had no idea about her party or her guest list. To make matters worse, they finally said they would accommodate our 50 person guest list if we waited for 30 minutes.... an hour later they told us that they could not accommodate our party!!!
So I want to warn all you party goers that BARDOT DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR PARTY!!
When I tried to explain to the promoter that this was the second time this happened this month when we were told everything would be taken care of... he said "this is the hottest club in hollywood, what did you expect"... I don't know what high horse Bardot is on, but they need to get off of it!! Bardot is not the hottest club in hollywood. its a small dinky club and for some reason they think they are the hottest thing.
Moral of the story... DO NOT HOST YOUR PARTY AT BARDOT!

Waited for 45 minutes to get in this place; was waiting in line with ONLY 6 other people. But..
Once I was let in and went upstairs, I was greeted by amazing music (80's them the entire night), amazing drinks, beautiful people, everyone dancing, unbelievable experience, would go here again over Coco De Ville. 6 stars out of 5; had a great time and no I don't work there.
Monday nights here are always a bliss, people dance and aren?t to "cool" to dance. I love the old school entertainment (a good change from the norm Hollywood clubs where people like to stare at each other and not talk).
LOVE THE DANCERS and BAND!
Burlesque dancers are always a fun event.
One thing to change is Ryan Gosling needs to stick to acting and stay away from a DJ booth.
thurs. nights. I went last thurs and i had a blast! the crowd is mixed and the drinks were great! i will be there this thurs. again!
The exclusive hideaway formerly known as Spider Club crawls back into the limelight with a nod to 21st century glitz and Roaring 20s glam..
With the same people behind its previous incarnation as Spider Club, this VIP hideaway above the Avalon has traded in the 70s-style Moroccan theme for a decidedly more roaring time and place: Hollywood's Golden Age. Debuting in October 2008, the club is comprised of three spaces--the intimate bar/lounge where tufted banquettes brush against golden ocher walls (and Violet chef Jared Simons dishes out the "promiscuous dining" small plates he's made famous); an open-air courtyard where smokers can get thier vice on; and the tent room, replete with sconces, chandeliers and, you guessed it, billowy ceiling tents--the club is still aimed at luring in much the same crowd. Those braving the mad crush at the bottom of the art deco stairway will no doubt find themselves rubbing elbows with shade-wearing scenesters (even though it's 11pm), part-time models and well-connected party people before getting indoors to spot a few good celebs ... yes, that's Ryan Gosling on the turntable.

definitely check it out. it won't be everyone's cup of tea. well if ur a midwestern tourist forget about it. thiss place exudes cool and if you're not cool you will feel really misplaced. it's the kind of place where artists and innovators hangout, not 9-5ers. it's filled with intellectuals who are hip, the menu is fabulous, and it's just a gorgeous vibe. i will personally be here as much as i can!
