In Short – Closer to a pizza parlor than a traditional bakery, this Kehilla-kosher storefront serves up Israeli versions of classic European dishes. Out of the piping hot brick oven, pita pocket "toastees" and giant Jerusalem bagels come smothered in tomato sauce with melted feta or mozzarella cheese. Classic, quality Israeli cuisine

Authentic Israeli-style pizzas and pastries are served at this Pico bakery and cafe. I love their toastees, a crispy cross between a bagel and a pita pocket smothered with sauce and cheese. The restaurant is kosher dairy, so no meat products are served here. Also, the place gets particularly crowded on Saturday nights after the Jewish Sabbath ends.
