In Short – Closer to a pizza parlor than a traditional bakery, this Kehilla-kosher storefront serves up Israeli versions of classic European dishes. Authentic Israeli-style pizzas and pastries are served at this Pico bakery and cafe. I love their toastees, a crispy cross between a bagel and a pita pocket smothered with sauce and cheese. The restaurant is kosher dairy, so no meat products are served here. Also, the place gets particularly crowded on Saturday nights after the Jewish Sabbath ends.
