The Scene
The original Farfalla location has been transformed into a cozy, more familial space. Splotched autumn walls, artisanal fixtures and a warm fireplace illuminate the bustling crowds of well-heeled industry types and famous friends of co-owner Adam Carolla of "The Man Show." Tan umbrellas and low-hanging ivy conceal the smaller and less boisterous patio. Kindly servers aim to please.
The Food
Hearty Italian specialties like wood-fired meats and homemade pastas are served in generous portions across the board. An excellent starter is the perfectly grilled salmon served over mixed greens dressed in a tangy lemon-olive oil vinaigrette. Stellar entrees include tender, roasted Cornish hen topped with black olives, and the simple, but juicy, grilled New York steak on a bed of arugula. For desserts, almond-flavored semifreddo flecked with dark-chocolate shavings pairs well with espresso, and the fresh and tangy fruit tart bursts with seasonal ingredients.

My boyfriend took me here for Valentine's Day this year. The food was amazing! The only two problems we had were that the tables are a little close together. However, I'm sure this could be fixed when you make your reservation by asking to be seating in the corner or something. We also did not get a good server at all. When he was with us, he was nice, but he was not very attentive at all. The other servers seemed very good though, so it was probably just ours. We will definitely be returning!

I've been to this place quite a few times as it's almost within walking distance from my house. I'll have to say I've never had a bad experience. The service is SUPER friendly and the food is always consistently good. It seems to not be all that crowded when I've been there which is a shame because everything about it is a pleasant dining experience. We brought a bottle of very nice champagne to celebrate a birthday and the waiter was so sweet, he waived the corkage. The lamb chops were to DIE for!!!

This is a great neighborhood Italian place. The food is always good and the service is attentive and friendly. Ok, I just have to say - regarding the comment below - "who puts peas in risotto?" - Are you kidding? I just had the most delectable summer risotto with peas (not my first time). Peas are a wonderful ingredient in risotto - very common, actually. Have you seen Hell's Kitchen?
