I love this place.... Busby's in Santa Monica is awesome! Everyone who works there is super nice and helpful (well, nearly everyone). The food is greasy (most of it) but very good. There are tons of TVs all around the place and on the weekends you can dance the night away. Overall, two thumbs up! My friends and I swear by this place!

Avoid This Place. Very scuzzy place. Bad service and strange ambience. If coming from abroad or going there alone, I would think twice.

Awesome Service. This place is amazing. I had a great time with my friends thanks to our server Bridget. She was the best server. We were a big group and she ended up being the nicest, most beautiful girl there. We will go back just to see her. Big Mike was awesome too. He was so down to earth. We hung for a while and loved it. The food was great too. The menu is huge. Great time.

I'll skip this one in the future. I've been to this place twice. The first time around, it was a Thu night. The place was packed with a lot of good looking women from UCLA. Drinks at the bar were served promptly and the staff was generally attentive. The bartender did overcharge me on my credit card. Here's the deal - when you close your tab at the bar, they don't give you a list of drinks you've had through the night. Instead, they give you the total amount. I'm sure the bartenders get away with this with a lot of drunk people, but it's something to watch out for. Luckily, the numbers didn't make sense to me and I asked for a list, they gave it to me and then adjusted the bill accordingly. The excuse was that they had thought someone else (who wasn't even sitting at the bar with us) was on our tab as well. Nice try.

The second time, it was a Sunday night - not too many people in the place. Staff was generally friendly and attentive. There were a couple of drunk, old, Irish men sitting on one end of the bar, one of whom proceeded to make blatantly racist remarks to someone at the opposite side of the bar. This went on for a while and when another customer at the bar got annoyed the bar tender stepped in and said the old man was drunk and that he was friends with him. He kept serving this obviously drunk person more beers instead of cutting him off. So, I guess if you're old, white and drunk, you've got a friend at the bar who is willing to back you up when you display your full bigoted self in public. Oh, and I went through the same issue at the bar with my tab this time as well.

There are better places in Santa Monica to spend my money, Busby's isn't one of them.

So many better choices. There are SO many other great bars in that area, why waste your time at Busby's? The bouncers are rude, and the owners LIE TO YOUR FACE about private parties and guest lists. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME

Great spot for games!. Awesome place to hang for football games! Good selection of beer and the bartenders are great! Fun atmosphere. Plus there's an arcade in the back! Rock on... :)

Always a fan. I've always been a fan of this place! One of the funnest places in Santa Monica!! Always have a great time when my friends and I come. Never boring!!! Ask for Chris. He's gorgeous! and super sweet!

Go if you want a warm beer and horrible food. The beer is warm and served in warm glasses (does anyone chill their mugs anymore)? Happy hour menu specials are a joke. The food was terrible.

Great for chicks. Hang out late in to the night to get the best ROI on you drink purchases, lots of fun except for the funky smell....

not so great any more..... UPDATE, they need the old day mngr back...but Steves handeling things great....they need to dump the rude blonde bartender who comes at happy hour and ignores all the women..twice we left after waitng a 1/2 hr to get some martinis,..the tvs are way too loud to hear anyone speak, it DOES NOT CAUSE A GOOD VIBE,,..happy hour food has gone down, greasy stuff with zero variety atnot so happy our prices...;summer 2010... alot of the good looking friendly male bartenders have seemed to disappear,,,..to update its improved alittle there however the female waitresses (other than bridget who's great) will totally ignore you if youre a female, while too busy hitting up guys for whatever . we sat for 20 minutes waiting at a table for drink to be served while this Victoria person hit up guys a t2 booths to flirt first while we are sitting there like idiots waiting, so we went to get our own , geeez really annoying
