What People Are Saying About D'amore's Pizza Connection

In Short – In an attempt to re-create the pizzas he grew up eating, East Coast transplant Joe D'Amore established this local chain of restaurants in 1972. Today, well-heeled diners scarf down casual Italian classics such as baked ziti, eggplant parmigiana and signature thin-crust pizzas. Pies are sculpted with cornmeal dough, olive oil and "special" water shipped in from Massachusetts. Popular orders include the tomato sauce-free Pizza Bianco, grilled vegetable pizza and the substantial Meat Lover's Special.

What a disappointment

by LuLuLA

Had my ordered deliver. $4 deivery fee - bulls..t. $37 for a Med thin crust with a few toppings and an Antipasto. OUTRAGEOUS Food was okay. not even close to the best pizza I have ever had. So overpriced and over- hyped. Won't do again. Here is more ...I have not worked in over 2 years and have been working a long term temp job for a few weeks. Since I have not eaten out in many many months I had a craving for pizza and decided to treat myself.. What a waste of $40 - for 1 med pizza with a few toppings and an antipasto. I almost wanted to cry when i realized that I completely picked the wrong place as a treat. tasteless blah pizza, the antipasto was good. but not even close to being worth $40 that includes the outrageous $4 delivery fee which the drivers get none of so of course add tip .

Love This Place

by lisamck1

We stepped in expecting to get a slice of pizza "boston style"..little did we realize we were in for a slice of heaven. Granted we have lived in Boston and New York and we are aware of the pizza selection and this pizza puts the rest to shame. From the crispy crust to the fresh cheese the ever friendly environment of the staff and the refills on the soda this place is one of a kind and if you live in the US you should make your next road trip to this fine establishment nessled in the beautiful quaint village of WestWood, CA. There is nothing as good, this is the best pizza there is! Not to mention the prices are affordable and the ziti will give you a reason to pick up your keyboard and email your momma and tell her you just had the best.

Really, really good pizza in Westwood Village

by 10ECStud

I had the #2 Lunch Special which includes 2 slices, salad and a drink. Wow! Too much food for me and I have a big appetite. The topping choices were fantastic, I had a slice of their Classic and Meat Lover's, both were exceptional. The salad was much more that a mere side salad on a small plate and it was delicious as well. The pizza crust was the highlight, thin, crisp and foldable for devouring. Highly recommended!

  • Pros: Great lunch specials
  • Cons: Finding a parking spot in Westwood

Great pizza! Yummy!

by hppygrl2002

This place has the best pizza ever! I was doubtful when my boyfriend swore by it, but I must agree with him now. There are a lot of options as far as veggies or combos. The pizza is also very inexpensive and moderately priced. Sometimes the place is abit overcrowded, but once you go you understand why. It's very tempting to not go eat there every night! Highly recommend it!

  • Pros: Great pizza
  • Cons: Overcrowded
