Kung Pao Kitty

Much like a 1940s chop suey joint, this casual eatery's faux exotic decorating scheme features mah-jongg boards, bamboo plants, Asian hand fans and jars of fortune cookies. The loft-like space is defined by high ceilings and jewel-toned wood furnishings. House specialties include spicy Szechuan kung pao, egg-drop soup, barbecue pork ribs, noodles and sizzling tofu. Patrons' styles range from Old Navy during the day to Abercrombie at night.

I find this to be a very easy place to recommend as it is in essence an an very easy place to fall in love with. Its vibe is unpretentious and their is always the feeling that you are out amongst friends. I have only been in L.A. a bit over a year and i havent found a place that reminds me of my hometown favorite in Chicago until now. Kung Pao is a real place to come to be around real people...and they have really good food as well (trust me..) .. Great drinks and a very friendly staff, truly a Unique Hollywood experience not to be missed...

Awesome Hollywood Love...

Well, I must say that this Bar , Kung Pao Kitty is the best bar in Hollywood.

Heres the reasons...

1. Bartenders and all staff are not at all douchey like the rest of Hollywood.

2. the DJs play awesome music after 10 pm.

3. The fare,,which means food for all you ding dongs is stellar. Late night menu till 2 AM for all you late nighters.

4. The best outside seating for smokers and drinkers available. Free entertainment on Hollywood Blvd.

5. TV. screens will show you old ass french films.

6. Oh yeah, the wings rule on the happy hour menu 3-7 every single day. 3 dollar Tigers and 5 dollar jager shots.

Good memory

One day I had to catch a bus to San Diego after visiting Universal Studios and I ate some good chinese food in this place while waiting for my bus to leave. I had my young daughter with me and she also enjoyed the food plus who doesn't like hanging out in Hollywood??? Nice spot--good food only bad thing is that I live in Philadelphia.

Great food good service

Went in, late afternoon. I had one of the cheese wontons, which was decent.

I then had the beef and broccoli, which I have to say was great.

There was no fat on the meet, and the broccoli was fresh.

Not sure about the review below, maybe he ate at another restaurant.

Anyway, give it a try. Nice staff.

Pros: I really enjoyed the beef and brocolli
Cons: had to wait for the bathroom
