in ktown, its rare to find a huge drinking place with high ceilings and full bar. not to mention the karaoke bar just upstairs. Orchid is known for hosting private parties, movie premiere afterparties, celebrities... i'm not one to give a sh!t about celebrities. I would just go there to get away from the common crowded, super rowdy places. The food is really good and come in large portions. You can either order cocktails from your table or go to the bar and order it there. Their scooby snacks are made perfectly but white russians; not so much. Bottle service is also available and you can put it on reserve for about a week if you dont finish it. Many times I've gone they've had a live DJ and you'll see lots of people dancing towards drunk hour. The elevator is nice if you dont want to walk up those 3 dozen or so stairs to the karaoke bar. The only cons i've noticed are that they're closed random days and weekends. The outside smoking area definitely has to be extended. It fits maybe 10-15 people.
Pros: check id, full bar, good food & drinks, roomy, karaoke upstairs
Cons: teeny tiny smoking area, closed randomly, can get expensive

We went to this place with a bunch of friends on a saturday night, the place is great. Good service and nice private rooms, valet parking is available. Only complaint is that the songlist needs to be expanded and you need to figure out how to handle the keyboard. Highly Recommended
