Not very good. I don't write too many bad reviews, but the food here was just not very good. It was the worst salmon skin salad I have ever had. The agedashi tofu was tempura bean curd. The sushi had large pieces and it wasn't bad, but the rolls were not very tasty.

I cannot recommend this place for sushi lovers.

Maybe they just had an off day, but I won't be going back to give them another try.

Please avoid this Restaurant!!!. I have never had the Owner of any restaurant Lie to me. But this place took my cherry. I asked for a salmon, avocado, cucumber roll and was charged $14.95. (The same roll at Nobu is $9.45)

The Soy sauce made every bite taste like BBQ. And when I purchased a fresh bottle of soy sauce to explain to the owner that the product he was serving had gone sour, he told me that the soy sauce was not Kikkoman (the bottles are all Kikkoman) but some other kind, and that I should bring my own.

AVOID THIS RESTAURANT.

My sushi Joint. I live down the street and eat here all the time. I like all the rolls, the fish is very fresh, and I have yet to be disappointed with the food. I think that the prices are a little high, but they are comparable to other sushi places. I really just think sushi in general is overpriced. I read the other reviews and yes the service is not so good, but I don't ever really care when I go here. The server is always within reach as this place is never super busy and it's not really a problem. If you're going here for a nice romantic date or for good service then don't. I get take out from here all the time and eat in quite often as well.. The rolls are large, the food comes out quickly and you never have to wait for a table. I'd say check it out for yourself....

Train Wreck. We visited on a Sunday night and were able to get a table no problem but that was the highlight! We probably should have realized there would be problems when we saw the manager coming in with bags of take-out food from another restaurant. The service was friendly but terribly disorganized (they forgot to bring menus, then forgot to take our order, then forgot to bring plates with order, then forgot to take away plates between orders, etc). The glasses reeked of bleach and had to be returned, some of the sushi, sashimi, and rolls were OK but most were too cold and the quality of supermarket sushi. Too bad as we had high hopes for what seemed a friendly neighborhood place, but we won't be back.

A Nice "2nd".. I went to Fukui a couple of weeks ago and had several items...Dragon Roll, Boston Roll, Tempura, Spicy Tuna and Salmon Rolls. The prices were mid-range and the sushi was very fresh. Not the best place that I've been to, but a nice "second". My only complaint is that our server didn't speak English very well, but the service was good. Def a place to eat if you want really fresh, high quality fish in your rolls (I've had worse). Wish they had a full bar.

User review by liao43. It's a nice neighborhood restaurant. The price is not bad. They have lunch special that's actually not bad. The service is ok, not the best, but definitely not the worst.

It's nice to have local sushi. The sushi was fresh, the seaweed salad was very tasty, both the hot and cold sake were very good (there is only one kind of each). The fried green tea ice cream was done very well and served timely. They even split it for us to share. We service was pretty good at the start, but we got a little less attention later. However, as soon a we got someone's attention, they were perfectly helpful. The vegetable tempura was not so good as, our of a 6-piece appetizer, 2 were large onion rings (not like the kind you get with a burger). I expect at least a piece of broccoli with my tempura. The California roll was made with mayonaise, which is not my preference, but it wasn't overwhelming. Overall, we'd go again for items we liked, and also because it's very close to our home.

Great Sushi, cheap and fast..... It took about 15 minutes to get three delicious rolls for the table. All were delicious and arranged beautifully.

Part-time American food diner offers sushi to dressed-down locals at bargain-basement prices.. In Short
Formerly Thomas Coffee Shop, this sparse diner has gotten half a Japanese remodel, with a built-in sushi bar, screened-in tables and lots of Far East knickknacks. The other half is still classic diner, featuring a service counter, stools and vinyl booths. The menu features funky sushi rolls, sashimi, several noodle soup options and tempura, along with American cafe fare offered in the morning and afternoon.
