I didn't Love their sushi

Dirty tables outside and service is way below par. The basic rice was not prepared at a sushi restaurant level. Hugely disappointed.

better than expected, chefs are awesome

Walking up to this place I expected to get the Domino's of sushi and was very pleasantly surprised when I got fantastic rolls with really great flavor. The rolls are not really authentic Japanese sushi but what do you expect on Melrose. Toro was good and fatty, house rolls were pleasantly presented and covered in light sauces that accented the ahi very well. Spiciness can be determined by the customer - a plus in my book. I'm sure the location contributes to the cost of the food but overall I was very pleased with the dining experience.

• Pros: good sushi, chefs are hilarious
• Cons: parking on melrose is awful, a little pricey
