great breakfast, poor cashier, unacceptable treatment, great eggs, enjoy outdoors, awesome pancakes, great food

So many little shops and eateries. Seating can be limited on weekends so try to go on weekdays.

One of the best people-watching spots in LA. There's a great balance of local regulars and tourists. Unbelievable variety of food stands and shops. An essential LA attraction.
Music of heaven. The best part about this Farmer market is that it is permanent. I love walking throgh the restaurants, the shops, the outdoor food smells good, the incense that are coming from the stores, the inexpensive summer hats, the jewelry, the beautiful, fresh vegetable and fruits that are lurking from every corner, the live music on Thursday night, the Brazilian food, the falafel and humus, the cappuccino and cold drinks, all just blends in to a music of heaven.
An LA Institution.
Easily the best place to eat and shop in Los Angeles. Whether looking for some gourmet fast food, sweets, fresh produce to bring home or elegant dining, the original Los Angeles Farmer's Market has it all.
Now that it's coupled with the Grove, you can do all your shopping here or catch a movie and then head over to enjoy an inexpensive meal of any type. Can't decide on a food type among your party? No worries, this is a food court unlike any other. All outdoors and filled with fantastic selections from Brazilian churrascaria to French crepes, seafood, burgers, the exquisite Gumbo Pot and the best of the bunch - Loteria's gourmet Mexican food.
Plus there's Monsieur Marcel's gourmet french market which adds a fantastic wine bar which doubles as a fantastic date night restaurant. What more could you ask for?
Oh ok, how about desserts and sweets of all shapes and sizes - some to eat here and some to take with you.
And if you're here just to pick up some of the freshest produce in town and great prices, be sure to stop for fresh coffee and homemade donuts at Bob's before you go.
Editorial Review by Whitney Moore. This Original Farmers Market hideaway is stocked with over a hundred imported teas from China, Japan and India for shoppers seeking a freshly brewed concoction or purchasing worldly blends for an herbal break anytime.
Best Breakfast in Town. I have been here many times so I can tell you they have great breakfast the French Toast is cooked just right and the pancakes are awesome. The eggs are great too. Some times the counter workers are a bit confused but thats because it is such a busy place and all the food is cooked to order in a very small kitchen. I would put this on my list for a must if you are looking for great breakfast.
Worse Everything!!!.
Coming to "The Grove" was supposed to be something different. Enjoy some shopping, eat some great food and enjoy the outdoors!
I wish I never wasted my time eating there. I stopped at Charlie's because they were serving breakfast. My daughter wanted a burger and my boyfriend had the Philly Sandwhich. We were all greatly disappointed with our meal.
The downfall of my Sunday outing began before I ever ordered my food. The entire set up of their ordering is all wrong. If they took a moment to properly set up their counter, they would be able to process everyone effectively. The poor cashier, who looked about 17 years old, was obviously not properly trained by the management. Having to guess at pricing and ask about every order she was taking, the wait was too long. In addition to the untrained staff, the management berated the poor thing in front of all the waiting customers. Unacceptable treatment and completely unprofessional! Then after ordering we sat around for 20 minutes before our order was ready.
My french toast was over soaked in egg, so it was completely mushy and gross to eat. My boyfriends Philly was bland and looked tossed together and barely had any chicken in it. My daughters burger was basic, plain with ketchup, so you can't go wrong with that. Overall, I would NEVER recommend anyone to waste the time, money or appetite on this spot.
