view & uploadunique fabulous sushi, amazing owner eddie, gem sushi iki, love uni, incredible adam roll, outstanding service, very bad dinning experience
Put Your Trust In Crazy Eddie. Sushi Iki (pronounced eeky, not icky) features pretty unusual fish brought to you by chef/owner "Crazy" Eddie Okamoto. Of course, Chef Eddie will make popular, mainstream sushi items, but the real draw is possibly finding live scallop in shell. This truly separates them from the rest of the crowd along the boulevard.
Hidden gem. The best sushi in la period. The owner eddie is amazing as is the top quality fish

My girlfriend and I ate at Sushi Iki last evening, the meal was simply a waste of $100.00 without any alcohol. We started with the fresh scallop, the quality was excellent however, the amount of spice on it was burning our palates. We made it very clear to the Chef and the waitress that we could not tolerate spicy food, the Sweet Shrimp was covered with the same spices, the Chef apologized then scrapped off the spice. Very poor behavior on his end at this level of food, the salmon and albacore are of very high quality but the sauces destroy the natural taste of the fish. We had to send a dish back for it was full of hot chilli sauce, they apologized again for not telling us, they brought us very nicely another dish, again the roll was placed right back in the sauce. It was a very bad dinning experience.

Simply not worth the time nor the money.
Hidden Gem, Friendly Service, Amazing Food,. The service was outstanding - as first time diners we were welcomed like old friends. The blue fin toro was outstanding, as was the salmon - all melt in your mouth delicious. The Adam roll was incredible - a must try! The location is out of the way for westsiders, but if you're in the valley, it's a must stop for unique, fabulous sushi.
Always Amazing. Very innovative fusion and traditional sushi, as prepared by sushi master, "Crazy" Eddie. Tucked away in a quiet Tarzana mini-mall on Ventura Boulevard, Sushi Iki is an undiscovered gem of innovation and freshness. If you love uni (sea urchin) or even if you usually turn your nose at it, you will be amazed by Eddie's version. He gets it fresh and kickin' from the ocean, slices it open like a true showman, and serves you uni like you've never had it before. If bluefin toro is on the menu, by all means order it. Sure, it's pricey, but it's a little bite of heaven. Totally unpretentious, but always superlative -- it's a friendly, no-compromises alternative when all the other hyped-up sushi places on Ventura are booked.
