best strong massage, great place, very nice staff, great massage therapist, worst massage, highly recommend healing hands, fabulous technique
Nice place.... My wife looks good after many visits of this place. Plus a great mood every time she returns home.
Deep Massage at a Reasonable Price.
I love getting massages, but hate paying $70 to $85 an hour for them. A one-hour massage at Healing Hands Wellness & Massage Center on Larchmont Bl. is $55, and only $80 for a 90-minute massage. I?m always confident that I?ll get the deep, therapeutic massage I?m craving. Also, if I call the day before or walk in without an appointment, I know I can probably get a great massage from anyone on their professional staff.
The walls seem a little thin at times (some ambient sounds) but, the fact that I can shower if I want before or after my massage, makes up for that. Street parking is usually available, but there?s also free parking in the rear. I find Healing Hands a reliable source for a deep massage that relaxes and energizes me, at a reasonable cost ? which is a Four Star experience.
New Man. Had a terrific massage at Healing Hands- friendly and pleasant. Kathy has magic hands!
NOT WORTH IT. Not only did my masseuse instill a painful kink in my neck that wont go away, but the customer service was NOT good and the room was dingy. I dont know about every therapist there, but my personal experience was a huge thumbs down... Just being honest.
CREEPY MALE THERAPIST.
The massage I got here today was the WORST I've ever had. The male therapist was inappropriately touchy-feely with unprofessional sheet draping, strange comments and an overall sense of icky. He smelled like cigarette smoke and, on top of everything, gave a terrible massage (I can lightly rub lotion on myself for free, thank you). I wanted to leave early but was too embarrassed to speak up.
I've never reviewed anything on Yelp before but felt the need to say something after this experience. I have been to Healing Hands (both locations) multiple times and the massages are hit or miss but since the price is low, I always return. Never again.
I am terribly sorry about your experience at Healing Hands. We are taking immediate steps to rectify this situation and prevent any discomfort of our clients in the future. I appreciate the email you sent separately about this and value your feedback immensely. Without your input, our practitioners would not be able to provide the best care possible, which is their ultimate goal. The massage therapists who practice at Healing Hands are professionals and are valued by their clients, so this kind of feedback is important in upholding that standard. Again, our sincere apologies and best wishes to you.
I would skip it.. I went to the Chiro there once. He seemed like a good guy. But he worked with a little clicky thing so I was disappointed. I didn't get an adjustment as I imagined. I had a massage from Naomi. It was beyond light pressure.
I'm sorry you didn't care for Dr. Paul's technique - his patients see him specifically for the Activator Methods approach. If you're looking for a chiropractor who uses the diversified approach (more commonly described as crack and crunch), I can suggest Dr. Wendy Yang at our 3rd and Crescent Heights office. Her patients love her. As far as your massage... I'm sorry you were disappointed. We had a therapist named Naomi about 3 years ago, but she has been described as anything BUT light pressure. Regardless, we always encourage open communication between client and therapist as to the technique/pressure/etc, so if your requests were not understood or followed through on, I apologize.
AMAZING acupuncture at Healing Hands on Larchmount. Tamara Zummallen is more than an acupuncturist, she's a healer. I have gotten acupuncture several times over the years with various professionals and she stands at the tippy top with her skillful hands, knowledge and sweetness. Healing Hands on larchmount is also a peaceful environment to receive your healings.....If you can splurge I def recommend doing her in home special, she comes to you, acupuncture and massage....it will make you purrrr all day long. LOVE Tamara!
The good & the Bad.
There are two locations one on Crescent Heights and one on larchmont.
Crescent Heights is generally very good, ive had many more good massages then bad.
The staff is friendly and its quiet.
I suggest if you are planning on going to one of their locations pick Crescent Heights .
I booked an apt at the larchmont location. It was loud, the staff was indifferent and i received the WORST massage of my life.
It felt like she was poking me with one finger the whole time, by the time i left i was so irritated it was a total waste of my time and money.
If i wanted to get poked or irritated by a stranger i will take the bus in LA at least its only $1.25
