Worst Hot Dog Ever. Honestly the worst hot dog I ever had, the fries were not much better, how did they find such small potatoes. Even the drinks (ice tea) didn't taste good. My boyfriend had a hamburger that looked terrible and they forgot the cheese, there was no taste to it at all.

As for price, not that we cared but it was not inexpensive.

I would have rather had an In "N Out Burger any day.

We would never return and tell all our friends not to go.

This website does The Stand little justice.. The sodas on tap are AMAZING, The parking in back is FREE, and they do except American Express. All meats are exceptional quality and no place has matched this dog in my book. Options Options Options. I usually go in there and get one dog the trusty Stand Way like the Big Blue or Southern Slaw and one my own way with the toppings I think would be good together. When I do the chicken sandwich I like to "LOAD IT" with grilled onions, mushrooms, and blue cheese. mmm mmm. Tis BOMB! NO DOUBT a 5 star place with a 3 star price.

Great Place!. First off... we've been here a few times over the years, and i don't think they ever served "ahi" tuna burgers. That being said, my mother-in-law lives in Encino, so we take the kids to The Stand when we go see her. They are nice to the kids and seem to understand that they are messy when they eat, as opposed to a few other brow-beating eateries in town. The food is great, especially the berkeley burger. They have kid's prices too, which makes it a little easier on the wallet. Definitely try the draft cream soda. It's like dessert in a cup. We were going to go to the new one in Century City, but it isn't opening up for weekends until later in July. Look forward to trying it.

Worst hot dog I've ever tasted.. This place should not be in the top 10 of anything. I only went because it's supposed to as good as Pink's or Carney's. WRONG, this place wouldn't know a good hot dog if it slapped them in the face and the french fries were cold. Needless to say I will not be going there again.

okay as far as burgers go. the only place i could compare this to is in-n-out. although the burgers there are better. and so are the fries. i had the ahi burger since that sounded better than the other things they were serving. it was a bit on the fishy side. can't say the place was bad, but it's not a palce i'll be going to again any time soon.

The potato chips are great.. The food here just isn't good but it's a nice place and it's cheap. I've had the vegi burger and I don't recomend it. If you're a vegetarian then don't go there. The potato chips are great though and the diet coke was not bad.

The food just isn't all that.. I, too, was really excited when I first found the stand. I have been there more than 4 times in the last year. Unfortunately, however, I like the ambience more than the food. The hot dogs are tough, and for some reason, always cold, even when I ask for them to be grilled. The hamburgers are thin, grey patties, not fresh meat. Yes, the toppings are great, but it really doesn't matter if the base isn't good. All and all, wish they would rethink the staples.

Best new joint. I never thought I would see a place come into LA and compete with Pink's when it comes to hot dogs. Well, the Stand has shown up and put in quite competition with the heavywieght. Though the two places have their differences, the Stand has found a way to (no pun intended) stand on its own. From toppings such golden raisin onions, bbq baked beans, and blue cheese, no entry is the same or like anything else out there. The food is fresh and great quality.

Gourmet hot dogs and sausages in a vintage-looking Valley setting.. In Short
Brown-and-white checked oilcloths cover the tables and inside booths, while a large tree-shaded garden dining area is illuminated by strands of naked lightbulbs. More than a dozen hot dog and sausage choices are offered, ranging from beef red-hots to low-fat chicken and apple sausages. A protein plate includes one sausage (sans bun) and a choice of two sides, like baked beans or cucumber salad. Non-dog lovers have several salad options, including a cobb and a Greek.

just hits the spot. the blue cheese burger is probably the best burger ever. the fact that all the ingredients are fresh and that the burgers were cooked to order just makes it amazing.
