Overview
With a Cirque du Soleil-like intensity, this wild fantasy features Mickey Mouse in a battle of good vs. evil. The 25-minute extravaganza may be a bit of a sensory overload, but it's nonetheless mesmerizing. The large-scale event takes place on Tom Sawyer's Island and in the Rivers of America water surrounding it, and has families lining up around the New Orleans Square area up to 45 minutes before start time.
The Experience
This nightly presentation rivals a Las Vegas experience, as more than 50 performers interact with water, lasers, floats, Disney characters, a fire-breathing dragon, strobe lights and fireworks. The sailing ship Columbia serves up a realistic and dramatic Pirates of the Caribbean-style battle that even features Peter Pan. The show's volume and scary witch may prove a little frightening to younger watchers, but Mickey and pals reign triumphant.

Insider Tips
Some nights there's a second showing that's often less crowded. During the first show, it's a great time to ride some of the more popular attractions, as lines tend to be shorter while everyone is viewing the show.
After the show, exiting may be easiest by way of Big Thunder Trail, or hang back for a while in the shops of New Orleans Square until the crowd disperses.

no matter how old you are, nearly everyone loves fantasmic! it shows all of the classic characters, and it's so entertaining. can't wait until sept. when i can go!!!
