A white picket fence surrounds health-conscious Westsiders as soft world music serenades at almost the same volume as their low-key chatter. Lines often spill over onto the jam-packed front patio, but once inside, glass displays reveal giant cookies, sticky buns and a full menu of soups, salads and entrees--including many vegetarian and vegan options. Customers order at the counter and then wait for delivery by servers who move seamlessly through the cafe's hectic mix.

This place has some great food and coffee. They're sandwiches are amazing.Additionally, they have almost every type of coffee you can imagaine. I would recommend it for luch or breakfast.

Urth probably has the best coffee and espresso in Los Angeles. The salads and sandwiches won't disappoint and the pastries are all delicious. The pumpkin pie is a must and the individual fruit pies are large enough to share. You order at the counter and the food/beverages are brought to your table by the well-trained loyal staff. Always crowded, the outdoor seating can't be beat: people watch, soak up the sun, and relax. The inside tends to be noisy. Although pricey, this is Beverly Hills after all, the atmosphere and quality are always top-notch. The deep-flavor organic coffee--they offer both strong and mild espresso--will keep you coming back.

Read other reviews for details on drinks salads sandwiches etc. All I want to say: BEST PUMPKIN PIE. I think they sell the whole one (it's huge) for $40. Or by the slice if you please.

Know Before You Go:
Breakfast is served only until 1pm weekdays, and until 2pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Where to Sit:
The lower patio offers privacy and a people-watching vantage point. When it's chilly, the fireside seats in back of the L-shaped coffeehouse are prime.
What to Drink:
Coffee connoisseurs rave about the signature soy lattes. But Urth also offers more than 100 varieties of certified-organic whole-bean coffees and loose teas, by the cup and in bulk.
