This is a great place if you know how to two-step and line dance. If you don't there are free lessons but it still takes a while to learn all the dances. The regulars are quite friendly and patient and most will help you to ease into it. I would give the place 5 stars if it weren't for the confederate flags hanging on the walls in various places.
My first visit to the Cowboy Palace. I went to the Club Sunday at 4.pm with my Daughter who is 23 years old, my sister with her Husband, I was surprise that just by buying a drink you could have food included, they have Chicken ships, beans, salsa and salad, no price to get in, the place was really crowded, but we were lucky we found sits, the class was going on, they started the beginners class at 5:pm, but it didn't look like beginners to me, they were all very good, I wanted to learn but I was intimidated, it should it be nice to have some thing very easy for every body. We went to the Bar to order drinks, the Lady Bar Tender asked for the ID for my Daughter we toll her that she wanted only a soda, she said still needs her ID, when we gave it to her she still was like hesitating like she didn't believe, we understood that it was her job to be sure, but she looks upset to me not a smile, not friendly, she made me feel uncomfortable , my sister still gave her a tip but I was expecting some thing different, my Daughter is young and I will be happy that people who is serving be nice to make her feel welcome, my other suggestion, I like to dance a lot but to go to this bar you need to know how to do the line dance or the 2 step , there is no free dance for people that wanted to have a good time and dance just for fun the first time they visit, I may go again but not with my Daughter
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editor. Chatsworth honky tonk beloved by country music fans is popular for weeknight happy hours and free line-dancing lessons every evening.
Let's line dancing. Cowboy Palace is a great place to learn dancing for free. Sunday is my favorite one because it's free BBQ and line dancing lesson. People are nice and friendly. One time I brought some friends from Japan to CP. CP customers welcomed them and danced with them. It's a meet market too.
Boot, Scoot & Boogie on Down. Don't be fooled by the fiscade of the building. This place is the real deal! Big celebrity hang out, lot's of filming that takes place. The owner and bartenders will treat you right and serve you well. It gets crowded after 8:00. Recommend drinks after work to beat the crowd but enjoy the atmosphere!
