In Short – An upscale, casual vibe transports diners from rowdy Pier Plaza to the southern European coast, to linger over wine and pitchers of sangria. A substantial tapas menu includes imported French salami, Spanish chorizo and Manchego cheese. Somewhat larger portions can be found in the cherry wood-smoked black mussels and marinated vegetables. Great Happy Hour

Mediterraneo is a great place; it lends a little classiness to the Hermosa Pier which is otherwise populated by dive bars and bars that tend to be frequented by barely legal drinkers.

This has been my and my friends' favorite place to eat for a few years. It's a great location to sit outside and enjoy the view and the great summer weather.

The happy hour is awesome; $3 house wine (the white house wine is my favorite) and two for one tapas.

Jordan and Joe are my two favorite servers and I always ask to be seated in their section because they are really attentive. Example: when happy hour is almost over the server will come by our group and ask if anyone wants to order another round to make sure that its still at the discounted price. They make sure to empty the wine carafe competely into your glass before taking it away.

I would suggest making a reservation on Friday and Saturday nights as it is a popular location.

  • Cons: Make a reservation on weekends

Awesome Happy Hour Special

I went there to meet with some of my family for dinner. They have an awesome selection of Tapas that are buy one get one free for their happy hour. The waitress we had was very friendly and attentive to our needs. Great place will definitely be going back.

Favorite Spot in Hermosa!

This place has never dissappointed me. the food is awesome.. if you like tapas, GO.

I come here once a week with my boyfriend-- we are mid 20's. We sit outside everytime and you can't beat the happy hour! just wish it lasted longer so I wouldn't have to leave work early to get there!! =)

  • Pros: EVERYTHING!
  • Cons: only thing is you can't see the water from the patio (none of the pier restaurants do cept Hennesey. bad food there though)

I love, love, LOVE this place! I probably eat here at least 5 times a month. The bartenders and waitresses are always helpful and happy! Not to mention the Happy Hours are fun and Mondays & Tuesdays are buy 1 tapa get 1 free! You can't beat that! The atmosphere is great, the decor is tres chic and the patio's full of people to watch!!
