good coffee, great cold coffee drinks, great kosher pastry section, cold coffee drinks, good people
I love this franchise, but not the one at the Grove. one of my everyday essentials is my half dark chocolate cafe latte from coffeebeen. I have to have one every morning or atleast 4-5 times a week. BUT these little girls that run the store at the Grove make me cringe. Every word out of their teenie-bopper mouths are attitude driven. I kept courteous and maintained my usual "thank you's and Yes please" but their eyes still rolled even when i asked for a parking validation after i bought my latte. The cup of java was a lil over $5, the tons of bitchy attitude was given to me free and complimentary. I wont be going to this coffeebean at the Grove but prefer all the others.
A family-run empire of cafe-shops that's been brewing caffeinated beverages since 1963..
In Short
Honey-colored oak and leaded glass give a homey touch to this California-based chain of specialty coffeehouses. Commonly referred to as the Bean, this purveyor of high-end blends--from dark roasts to oolongs--built its reputation on the international scope of its seasonal bean offerings (originating from Yemen to Hawaii) and a highly diversified selection of teas. Pastries encourage patrons to sit; espresso makers, French presses and coffee grinders let folks bring it home.
