best sephora, love products
Is there such thing as a Sephora that
doesn't get five stars? No, probably not. The business-savvy entrepreneur in me loves their business model: no hassle returns, frequent buyer perks, unlimited samples of anything you want in the store. The girly makeup addict in me loves the enormous selection and unmatched quality of the brands they carry.
Do I vouch that every single Sephora employee is a kind-hearted, non-judgmental, laissez-faire doll with a heart of gold? No! Please. It's a cosmetics store people, not a suicide hotline. A makeup aficionado, I tend to wave those girls away before they get within five feet of me anyway. When I come here to the promised land, I already know what I'm looking for, so I don't really need their assistance in shopping.
If they're out of stock of something I need (not too common, but it does happen sometimes) they always offer to have it either sent to the store or shipped to my house for free. They will even make me a sample of whatever it was to hold me over.
Perks: Beauty Insider card is kind of cool, points for every purchase, which can be redeemed for cool mini-sized versions of various items. Around your birthday, they give you a free gift. Awesome coupons emailed on the reg (20% off, $20 off purchase, holiday bonuses, etc). "VIB" status for big spenders gets you even more goodies. And again, I really can't stress this enough-- free samples of anything you want. Don't be shy, just ask.
There is a great men's section as well. Bring your boys. Do your duty and help them to moisturize and smell less gross. I thank you in advance, on behalf of women everywhere.
Bright lights, red carpet and designer cosmetics bring Hollywood makeup essentials to the masses..
In Short
This glitzy beauty boutique is covered wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling in fragrances, cosmetics and skin-care essentials. Ralph Lauren, Christian Dior and Shiseido are alongside harder-to-find brands like BeneFit, Interface and Nars. Everything is available for sampling and salespeople are eager to help clients dabble with new products. You're not here to bargain hunt, though. Expect to pay top dollar.
Rude and Pretentious service. I love the products and the convenience, but this Sephora is the rudest of all! I have given it 3 chances and each time we cannot get anyone to help us or they follow us around like we are going to steal something! I spent $300 on a recent trip and the cashier treated me like I was some peasant that was beneath her. The best Sephora is in the Manhattan Beach shops - they are far less affected. I would avoid this and the 3rd St store as the staff seem to believe you are there to serve them.
