Sorry!. I hope we are talking of the same Oishi Reastaurant on De Soto.

Of all the Sushi restaurants, in all of the San Fernando Valley, in all the world, we walked into this one!

We arrived 8:30 PM. Hungry! They seated us. We'd had a beer while waiting and we looked over the menu, looked good. We ordered. There were almost no other people in the place. While we were waiting, the scent of Pinesol came wafting over to our table and almost rendered us violently nauseous! They told us they close at 9 PM. So, only, 15 minutes to go we waited, and waited. The Pinesol wafted! It was just too much! So, we said OK, we'll take it with us. We got home and opened the food. Supermarket quality was better! The Yellowtail was really yellow, like they'd kept it in water to keep it from drying out. Fresh? Forget it! The Unagi was out of a plastic container, not even the usual sweet sauce and sesame seeds. Dry! California roll, Vons sells fresher food. And the Tempura roll was completely tasteless!

I'd hope I would have a good Sushi place to go to, but this was a disaster! Never again. There wasn't a Japanese person in the place! Customer or staff.

My rating: 0 they couldn't pay me to eat their food again.

great & resonably priced sushi. we have been going to oishi for years. the food is consistantly good. the prices are very resonable compared to other restaurants. all of the people there are friendly and attentive to all your needs. the restaurant is always clean.

the overall dining experience is great. you won't be disappointed.

Horrrible Service, Food is so so.. They refuse to give complementary miso soup even though we ordered over $60. Slow service, bad environment and food tastes blend and not too fresh either.

Best of sushi bar in canoga park. If you're looking for the fresh fish sushi, sashimi and good taste of the special rolls, you have to try this sushi bar. They have fresh Albacore, Salmon, Tuna, Yellowtail and etc. On the other hand, they also have the best special roll named "Oishi Roll.".......Oh......the best......:)

Great customer service and fresh sushi. This is a family owned restaraunt that's fairly good in size. They always have fresh sushi which is perfect. If you aren't a sushi goer, they have really good teriyaki beef, salmon, and chicken. The portions are very generous. Customer service is there is very attentative. I've been there so many times that they know exactly what i want. I would recommend anyone that lives out in the San Fernando Valley to give that place a try.

For Solid Sushi Away from Ventura Bl. Good value place and compares very favorably with the often overpriced, too hip sushi joints along Ventura that stretch from Woodland Hills to Studio City. Casual athmosphere lets you relax and enjoy the solid menu and the daily specials that have proven to be fresh and a good value.

Fresh Fresh Fresh. Im a sushi fanatic. Oishi serves up the freshest fish in Southern California. Dont get me wrong, a few other places have fresh fish as well, but for the prices that they offer, its unbelievable. But you dont have to only like sushi to go there. They have numerous other delights that will tantalize your taste buds while beautifying your entire table. Friendly and courteous service is a great plus.

Delicious!!!. A very nice place to dine at indeed. The food is beautifully presented and oh..... the taste is just delicious & fresh!!! Whether it is cooked dishes or raw sushi, this restaurant really offer quality selections. Another plus is the ambiance of the place. Not too bright ( or too loud ) and not too dark, just perfectly warm and classy. ( Yeah upscale design with reasonable pricings ) Very relaxing for me and my friends. The staffs are very friendly & helpful too!!! I highly recomend Oishi to anyone.

Outstanding. Beautiful, upscale restaurant in Canoga park where the staff is happy and friendly. Presentation of sushi is artistic and the flavor and freshness is perfect. Miso soup-wonderful. My husband had miso with scallops and claimed it to be delicious. I enjoyed the red dragon roll, very spicy with tempura tail and asparagus. We are lucky to have this gem in our neighborhood.

Great sushi in Canoga Park. This is the best sushi restaurant I have ever eaten at. Fresh, tasty sushi, sashimi, cut rolls, and hand rolls. Great ambiance and spirit. I feel as if I am in a different world when I eat there.
