In Short – Kickass cuts for $20? Yep, that's right. (If you're a first-timer, that is.) With an airy interior, cool tunes and local artwork, this no-frills salon imparts a casual vibe that's right at home in Venice. Westsiders waiting for cuts, color and extensions kick back on the front porch or sip complimentary beer and wine in the sunny waiting area. While patrons won't get the full-court push to buy products, offerings include Pureology, Davines and Kusco-Murphy. Walk-ins are welcome, although it's always a good idea to call ahead and assess the wait time.

BEWARE!

The first time I went to Trim as a walk-in and received a great haircut: (long straight hair, 1" trim, blowdry) and was happy to tip 20% on the $45 service. The hair dresser put product in my hair for the blowdry and my hair came out shiny, smooth and perfect.

Today I went back for the 2nd time for the same 1" trim off of my long straight hair. The trim took all of 5 minutes and then the blow dry (no product put in my hair so the end result was fly-away!) and the cost this time was DOUBLE! Yes, $90 for the 5 minute trim & blowdry with no product! In shock I asked why and the receptionist said "it's your 2nd visit" like that was my punishment! I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone! No wonder it was empty on a Sunday afternoon! Had I known first time visits are 1/2 the price, I would just return with a different name every time! Now I'll never go back! What a terrible way to do business!

I was referred to her by a few friends and for a $20 first time hair cut, i tried her out. SO GLAD i did. She was great! Did exactly what i asked and was very sweet as well.

I finally found a great salon and junior stylist i will keep going back to.

Best Beach Hair Anywhere!

Even if I didn't live in Venice, I'd be travelling to Trim to get my hair done, no matter how far. Antonio, my stylist is absolutely wonderful and extremely talented at what he does. I've had my hair done everywhere from Paris to New York to Stockholm and nobody has done a better job than him. I'm often asked by strangers on the street who does my cut and color, which is the ultimate testimony to satisfaction, in my opinion. The rest of the Trim staff is also super skilled at what they do, as I have friends who've had their hair done by many of them, always leaving too happy for words. Don't go anywhere else for your next hair appointment! PS. Your first cut will be ridiculously inexpensive there too.

Try Trim

I found out about Trim on citysearch and tried it because the first visit was only $40, . I thought the cut was very good and I will go back even though the minimum price is $75 for subsequent cuts. I thought it was as good as Umberto in Beverly Hills . My cut and style were much better than the ones I have had at Rudys so even though Rudys is cheaper , trim is worth the extra cost .The cut had more details than other similarly priced cuts I have had .The stylist was ready for me at the time of the appointment , a rare occurance in salons.

Trim is the place to GO!

If you are looking for a great haircut at an affordable price in a warm and friendly environment....than Trim is the place for you!

I recently went to get highlights, a cut and my eyebrows tended to for my upcoming wedding and left there feeling like I had made friends and received the royal treatment.

Nik, the owner and my hair colorist/cutter was attentive, detailed and took the time to blow out my hair for free so that I could see the details in her handy work. I was elated! Her assistant (her name escapes me) is also a sweet heart. LOVED them!

Kelly, the brow specialist is AMAZING as well...

From the time I walked in, 'til the time I left, I was well taken care of by the attentive team. You can tell that the salon has a family vibe, with each stylist carefully selected to create the right services and over-all environment....and it shows.

Your first cut (and amazing shampoo/scalp massage) is $20...from there on out it's $95. Brows were $40 for rehaping, waxing and all around greatness. This is THE place to go for all your beauty needs...I will be loyal to Trim from here on out. Thanks ladies!!!
