An Art Oasis

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of attending "The Artists Private World" at American Legacy' Fine Arts. This having been our first visit we were immediately taken by the lush and tranquil surroundings. The lanscaping was exquisite and the real world quickly went away. It's immediately obvious how much care and thought had gone into the garden. We were mesmerized by the 30 ft. hanging plants that cascaded serenely amongst the shadows and light.

After being warmly greeted by Elaine Adams we wandered into the gallery at this well attended reception.

Before us lay paintings and sculptures of superior quality. We lingered over each and every one. Represented were, Peter Adams, Jean LeGassick, Jeremy Lipking, Stephen Mirichi, Daniel W. Pinkham, Alexey Steele and Aaron Westerberg.

Having an easel set up at home and producing a few paintings of my own I was extremely pleased to meet Jeremy Lipking, whose remarkable technique and moving portraits have inspired me. I also learned an even greater appreciation for the warm and congenial Peter Adams. His colors and light are exceptionally one of a kind. Now I am thinking that maybe I should try not using brown pigments.

And then there is Alexey Steele, a walking self portrait. His long hair, smile and panama hat. His presence puts you in the directly into the ambience of the artists' world. His figureative art is also exquisite.

There is so much more., but after seeing the location, the art, and the personalities behind the art I can assure you that this is a gallery not to be missed. With a little luck maybe you too will be able to meet these artists that share their world with us.
