fresh, tasty. This is a great place for quick food to eat there or take out. Fresh, fast Japanese food that is enough to satisfy craving for Japanese food. Enough variety, whether you want spicy chicken, beef teriyaki, sushi, combo plates with salads, or Udon noodles, all good and satisfying. Atmosphere is clean, but it's my favorite place for take-out b/c food is ready within 10 minutes!

Good quick Japanese style food fix. It's not the most authentic Japanese cuisine, but it's fresh and filling. The choice of salads is a great option with entree offerings. The last time I had lunch there I tried the curry and it was very flavorful and more than enough for lunch. The service was quick and friendly. The dining room was clean although very crowded -- probabl a testament to the god quality of the food. Definitely a recommend when you're on South Lake in Pasadena.

Good, Fast, Fresh. I love sushi. I know that the quality of sushi at Sansai is not going to be that of an upscale restaurant, however, the food is good! Wonderful rolls, soups and salads and the prices cannot be beat! I loved it!

Good for lunch hours!. The lunch menu is great, you get soup and salad on top of your order. Of course I'm only referring this to any of the teriyaki dishes. As for the sushi, well, get it only if you have no choice. The portions of the sushi meat is a joke! Thin slices almost like bolonga (should qualify for "Guiness Book of World Records" for thinnest sushi ever served)! There's an item I usually order, the "24 Pieces" for $19.99, that was a great deal until they recently raised the price up to $24.99!!! Come to think of it, the thin slices doesn't add up. I think I'll stop going for now, although it's only across the street from me.
