Tips for Panera Bread

I live at this place. I eat here all the time. The "Pick Two" is the best deal on the menu because even though they say it's a half salad, it's still pretty big.

The brownies are great too.

The food comes out really quickly and it always tastes fresh. The outside sitting area is great, especially when they have a fire in the fireplace.

Free Wi-Fi For Everyone. According to Wikipedia, Panera operates the largest free wireless network in the United States, since most if not all of their almost 1500 locations offer it. The best thing about Panera's WiFi service? No, it's not because it's free, reliable, easy to join, and not on a fixed amount of usage time... it's that it comes with their chilled green tea and their amazingly delicious sandwiches.

Don't go here! No space, rude staff. It's great that Panera provides free Wifi. But with that comes the myriad of opportunistic laptop users who may or may not buy a coffee, then hog the electrical outlets all day. What infuriated me is that I was a willing, a VERY willing customer, ready to actually patronize Panera and give them business. After buying a coffee, doing other work and waiting patiently for an hour for a free outlet (all the while seeing many wannabe actors, writers and other riffraff merely monopolizing the outlets without buying anything from Panera), I saw someone leave and jumped at the chance. I started to set up camp, plugged in my computer, and made may way to the counter. I was then RUDELY reprimanded by what I assume to be the manager that I couldn't set up my computer at my chosen table because my computer wire was running along the way of traffic. I understand that, but what about POLITENESS? What about helping the customer (especially one who is actually buying items?) What about all of the other wires that were crossing walkways that this manager conveniently overlooked?

If you want to eat, do business, grab a cup of coffee, AVOID THIS PANERA. If you want to hang out somewhere for free, not buy a single thing, and get free Wifi, hang out here. You'll find lots of company, and apparently, the management will give you preference over real customers.

Fresh-baked goods, fresh-brewed coffee and creative sandwiches served up in relaxed, roomy surroundings.. In Short
Bright colors and comfortable furniture give this chain cafe a laid-back feel, with scattered tables that beckon coffee-sipping readers, chatters and diners. All baked goods--bagels, muffins, two dozen kinds of bread--are made fresh on the premises. Sandwiches include turkey-artichoke panini and Asiago roast beef, plus standards like chicken salad and smoked turkey. Soups change daily, but popular choices like broccoli and cheese, chicken noodle and French onion are always on the menu.

Terrible service. My to-go order has missed either the dressing on the salad or the side that comes with it. Would not go back to this location.

Great food marred by long waits, lack of seating. As far as food quality goes, this Panera is one par with any other of the chain's locations. All the salads, soups, sandwiches and other regular Panera favorites are on the menu and taste as good as at any other of the business? spots, but the amenities at this individual location in Studio City are lacking. There?s not nearly enough seating or registers to handle the lunchtime crowd, and it?s hard to make a left turn back onto Ventura pulling out of the parking lot behind the building. I wouldn?t bother with this restaurant if I didn?t love their turkey-artichoke Panini, chocolate chip cookies and French onion soup so much.

Everything is right here!!. I've found myself longing for the Asiago Bagels, daily since I first had them. If fact, I'm going to get some as soon as I'm finished with this.

The "Muffy" is awesome too for breakfast on the go. Easy to eat while driving. (The idea came from the "Muffin Top" episode of Seinfeld-so you know these guys are paying attention). The Holiday bread is way yummy & a very nice gift for someone who you don't know that well. Everyone liked it when I brought it for Thanksgiving. It's impressive, inexpensive,& great with coffee.

!

The sandwiches are all worth trying once; The Panini's are all faboo, but the Smokehouse Turkey is the current favorite. How do you beat a hot grilled sandwich on artisen bread! You don't.

Everybody is genuinely nice there too. I haven't met with any attitude people on staff here, which is quite uncommon in Studio City. Service is fast & if they do make a mistake, they correct it fast-without the tude. It's amazing.

Also, it's the cool spot for all the Wi-Fi addicted to hang out & take care of business. It's free here, unlike other francises these days. I often see "Industry" folks there, making there calls & working through lunch. Laptop friendly atmosphere. After dark, if you want to hang outside, they have nice heat-lamps & are strategically set up so the patio area doesn't look out over the parking-nice touch.

All in all, this a great place to go to anytime. Whether it's a coffee & bagel, or a soup & sandwich, or a brownie with carmel & pecan, this is the spot.. There is something for everyone & I always see lots of strollers too. Very family friendly :)

decent sandwiches for lunch. had lunch here for the first time and ordered the smoked chicken sandwich on focaccia bread. my husband had the turkey on italian baguette. i was told my sandwich was pre-made when i requested no onions, and that i could just pick them out myself easily. the sides are pretty weak: 2 types of BREAD, an apple or chips. my sandwich was ok, the chicken was fresh and warm, but the tomatoes were a little stale and the bread on the soggy side. the freshly made turkey sandwich looked much better. i may go again and try their chowder in a bowl, otherwise i'm just not that impressed with the place.

Fresh Yummy Bread. I love this place. I'm a carbaholic and I love their paninis. They're really nice too and told us they appreciated our business even though the place was packed and probably didn't need it. I have been there several times and will continue to go there. I'm never disappointed.
