Fro-yo might be the latest sweet trend sweeping L.A., but cupcake mania is far from over. Burbank's gourmet bakery is devoted solely to this sugary icon's existence. Edging Magnolia's antiques strip, the tiny storefront gleams with a long glass case displaying trays of elegant, fanciful frosted delights made from scratch and fresh daily. Among the 30 selections, popular favorites are red velvet and Hawaiian coconut; mavericks prefer unique "cocktail" flavors like margarita, mojito and cosmopolitan.

Nieghbors of ours recently visited the LA area and brought us back a box of Chocolate Truffles from the Yummy shop They were great. Come to find out that my cousins are the owners of the business. Their Dad and myself were long time firends starting in college. The coincidence plus the delicious Truffles was wonderful. Our best wishes to the Yummy crew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Al Soforenko

I love cupcakes and had searched for bakeries that specializes in cupcakes after having tried several excellent ones throughout Greater L.A. I came across a listing for Yummy's that touted great cupcakes and tried it over the weekend, but I was highly disappointed by their dryness. I had purchased 5 different types and all had the same dry texture so I won't be going back, especially when each of the cupcakes were about three bucks a piece.

I think they are very good. My friend thinks they are too sweet. I do agree with another poster that they are not sanitary. Last time I was there I saw a server take some extra mint frosting off the side of a displayed cupcake and lick it off her finger. I guess she thought nobody was looking.
