The music they play after hours on Friday and Saturday is amazing! Me and my friends go here around 10 till closing and have a coulpe drinks and listen to the music. The atmosphere is really laid back and the crowd is really fun.

Try the Landy cognac. Landy cognac is my new favorite drink cause it's really smooth. I've been searching all over the place to find a place that serves it. Does anyone know if Landy is served here at Tantalum? I think they should since there's a large selection of drinks...

What Service!!!. While the appetizers present some quality, the overall poor attitude and service is something that can not be avoided. I would not recommend this establishment.

Love the appetizers, not the entrees. Tantalum is a really nice-looking place. The view is beautiful. I've been in for dinner a couple times and didn't enjoy the food for the prices. That's not totally true. I really liked the appetizers. They were totally worth the price. I just haven't really enjoyed any of the entrees I've had there. As a bar, it's nice. Although service tends to be a bit slow. The atmosphere is nice, though.

Staff Needs Charm School!. My daughter and her boyfriend were visiting from memphis tn. so me and my wife took them to the tantalum for drinks and dinner, our bartender was alissa she appeared to be a charming young lady, we all ordered drinks as we looked over the menu my wife ordered a glass of chardonnay, and when it was delivered by alissa the glass was very dirty, my wife brought this to alissa's attention, she apologized and took the wine away, while standing only a few feet away from us she poured the wine from the dirty glass and into another glass, right before handing it back to my wife she looked at the glass carefully and then noticed it too was dirty, she then poured the wine into a third glass and handed it to my wife, we then requested a manager and a young blond girl who was posing as a manager came to our area and apoligized and had the problem corrected, when she left the bartender alissa was going from bartender to bartender openly angery that we talked to a manager and pretty much ignored us for the rest of our short visit there and displayed a obvious attitude. i made a call to the restaurant to make a complaint with april johnson. By far the worst service ive ever had!!! Beautiful restaurant, pretty good food, decent prices, TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!!!! not only was alissa making comments about us but the other bartenders participated in the small talk, EXTREMELY RUDE SERVICE. Oh i was sent a fifty dollar gift certificate, which i will never use.

Good Bar with a View!!. Went to Tantalum on a Friday night for a dinner-date a@ 9:30pm. We had no problem getting a table right away which directly overlooked the water. We sat close to the bar, but far enough away to have personal conversation although it was hard to talk over the loud music. My salmon dish was very good, the chicken dish was ok. We spent $65 on dinner (2 entrees, 1 drink from bar, 1 juice). Waiter was friendly and prompt. From the website, I thought it would be more of a "dressy" place, but its more of a CASUAL dining/hang-out place. Overall, I would come back to hang with friends or stop-in while shopping, but wouldn't recommend it for a DATE.

Great View, Good Food, Reasonable Prices. Highly Recommend.. It sits in the Best Buy and Acapulco parking lot, but once we walked in, we were transformed to a beautiful 270 degree view of the bay. I really like the small plates- ahi tuna tartar was delicious, pork belly was scrumptious, and loved the kobe sliders. The waitress was so nice, even offered to watch my friend's 6 mo. old while she was eating. One minor criticism would be the restroom situation- the ladies room got very crowded with women fixing their make-up. We're definitely will going back there, maybe on a week night next time.
