Editorial Review for Cabo Cantina – by Citysearch Staff
In Short
This colorful cantina's Corona paraphernalia, crop-topped waitstaff and blaring classic rock set a party vibe for the happy-hour hordes who come for potent margaritas on the patio. The low-priced Mexican menu features appetizers such as hot corn chips with salsa, creamy guacamole, gooey cheese dip and crispy black bean-and-cheese egg rolls. For real sustenance, entree highlights include tostado salads, a fajita sandwich of marinated flank steak with grilled veggies and mahi mahi tacos.

Great spot for day drinking and bringing back the nostalgic feel of a college party! The happy hour has some good deals and the special events that occur ocasionally here are usually pretty crowded. The best part about this place was the crowd and the service (one in the same). Everyone was friendly and very talkative. The only down side was the strong stench of vommit when walking towards the bathroom. The place is kinda small so it get's rather crowded. You might wana get their somewhat earlier than the crowds just to snag a table or spot to hang at with your crew. The outside patio is literally right on the street of Wilshire Ave and is a great spot to people watch! All in all a fun place to meet people and have a few good priced drinks while you're at it!
Pros: Friendly service, Friendly Crowd, Good priced drinks, Great Happy Hour place
Cons: Somewhat small and crowded

For some reason everytime I've gone here it smells like someone threw up. The only thing worth eating here are the chips and salsa, which isn't free even when you buy meals. Their food does not have an authentic taste, too salty. Do not get anything with mahi mahi in it. They have no beers on tap. The waitresses aren't the best. Don't waste your time here!
Pros: good chips and salsa
Cons: smells, bad food, no beers on tap
