What People Are Saying About The Auld Dubliner

In Short – Located in Long Beach's waterfront dining and shopping hub, this restaurant-bar combo adds a contemporary twist to the small village pub. Dark wood furniture imported from Ireland, old-time memorabilia and Irish-tuned satellite radio bring authenticity to a clean, modern design. Weekday office-types relax with sports TV and requisite Guinness pints in booths, while 20-something weekend crowds sprawl onto the street-front patio to take down Irish whiskeys. The full menu boasts stews, bangers and boxties alongside salads and hamburgers.

I LOVE this place! ...When I need a break from the second street crowd I can always count on the Auld Dubliner for some great live music and a lively crowd! This bar goes off on weekends, so it may take you a minute to get a drink. Be patient, I have never seen these bartenders slacking off if a thirsty customer is in sight. The layout of the bar is great, more than enough room even on the most crowded nights- unless you want a spot on the patio or right next to the bar.
Warning to the ladies... You will most likely need to park in the parking structure and walk if you come on a Friday or Saturday night. So don't wear uncomfortable shoes!! Also, this place is super low key, so but don't dress like you're going to a club or you will sick out like a sore thumb.
**The door guy will validate your parking!!**
- Pros: excellent floor plan, great live bands, awesome bartenders
- Cons: parking =(
