Want your money. The people who run this chain are only after your money. Its one of the most expensive chains. Some of the facilities are pretty good but when I had a problem with my membership they showed their true colors and made me pay and pay again, just to leave. Its a shame, they could be great but money grubbing has spoiled my whole experience.

Spectrum Pacific Palisades. The best thing about the Spectrum is that there is one close to where I live in the Palisades and one near where I work in Santa Monica.

Another nice feature is that its usually not crowded especially off hours.

The down sides are many but I will just mention a few. My two main issues are .. The equipment is not well maintained. There is often mechanical problems with the equipment or electronic issues like the television doesn't work or if that works the audio doesn't or if that works the cable is out all together. Either the sauna is broken or the steam room is broken or incredibly both.

My second issue is there are not enough signs and virtually no enforcement of their no cell phone policy. Despite what they say it is rare that any manager walks through the gym to tell people to put there phones away so almost everyday I have to ask people to take there phone conversations outside which is incredibly annoying. People get some manners and Spectrum please start enforcing your own rules.

Spectrum should be ashamed of itself.. I've been a member for a few months now and I am very disappointed. With high monthly dues, this gym is trying to be "high-end", yet there are always machines out of order and the place feels like it's falling apart. The view of the ocean is nice and the cafe is good, but that's about all I can say that is positive. The billing practices are highly unethical and you will get taken advantage of in any way they can get away with it. I hear people all the time complaining in there about how the rates were quietly raised without notification, or how they will still charge you for two months after you cancel. All they care about is getting as much money as possible for as little in return. I think I'll cancel and try Equinox in Santa Monica.

Amazing Childcare and Birthday Parties. I have been a member at Spectrum for almost a year and have had nothing but great experiences. I started taking my 2 children (age 3 and 5) to the Kid's Club about 6 months ago and they have a blast. Normally I would worry about leaving my kids with strangers, but after meeting the staff and seeing them interact with the kids I was immediately relieved. In addition, to the number of services the kid's club offers, they also offer a birthday party planning service. I recently had my 5 year-old daughters birthday party at the club and it turned out to be the easiest and funnest party I've had for my kids! The spacious setting, fun equipment, friendly and organized staff, and very reasonable prices are a few of the awesome perks! Try it and I guarentee you will love it!

Wonderful kids Care!!!. To start off the kids area is amazing, not only are there tons of things for kids to do and play; the staff is great. They are attentive to all the kids and are very welcoming towards friends and family members. They also offer a parents night out which my husband and I needed so much!!!!! I highly recommend this club.

Child's Party. Hi I'm a parent who attented a birthday party held at this club. First let me state that the staff is very friendly,welcoming,warm and full of energy. It's a very active and adventurous environment all rolled into one. This place is one of the best for a kid's party.

Great childcare!. The kids club at Spectrum is one of the best I have ever been to. The staff is very friendy, the daycare rates are very inexpensive. The best thing about their kids club is the lator gator program, I can drop of my 2 kids and go grocery shopping and run other errands and know that my kids are in good hands.

Lose weight while enjoying Spectacular ocean views. I love working out at Spectrum!!! If you are an outdoors type of person that needs the convenience of all this Health club has to offer, this is your kind of place. The ocean views are spectacular in the ocean front studio. Doing yoga in there is magical and breathtaking. After I have my morning yoga, I love to run, bike or do the stepmill on the balcony to get fresh air and take in more of the beautiful views. My trainer is fantastic and has already helped me to lose 15 pounds and get me ready for the fitness challenge I am doing in the summer. The food at the cafe is delicious and once again, dining is available inside or outside so you can enjoy the Pacific. I love, love, love this club!!!

Greatest Loser Program. Only people who want to have fun while losing weight and pushing iron should sign up for this program. Both Donna and Robyn know how to push participants while at the same time making sure everybody is having a good time. The regime works! I should know, I've done it 6 times.

great trainer !. I have been a member of spectrum for some time now and have always consider myself a gym bunny, but I never worked out with a trainer, because too many of them gloss over and check themselves out in the mirror! Last week a trainer came up to me to show me how to better use the tricep machine. He was so nice and professional. His name is Brian Eno and now he is my trainer!
