great whole staff, hesitant overall experience, great service, nice lovely environment, excellent esthetician, more convenient studio city, professional folks
Professional and friendly. I went to the Kalologie at Studio City (can't seem to find it here?) I was on a business trip from London and wanted to try a treatment (no I'm not saying what!) A work friend suggested that I try Kalologie. Friendly service (lovely LA smiles) and a professional treatment that left me looking great. Decided to review some of the places I have been to since I travel for business and often rely on online reviews myself.
Don't ever go or don't ever be late.. NEVER EVER GO TO THE STUDIO CITY KALOLOGIE!! The manager is insane. I was 15 minutes late to an appointment, and they would not see me. Amanda, the manager said that they “expect their clients to be on time.” Admittedly, I was coming from Pasaden, and I was late (101 traffic, parking on Ventura, etc..), but I have never heard of a spa that just says, “Sorry, we cannot see you.” I bought a package as well, and she would not refund me the remainder of my package, only a partial refund. This place is the worst: unethical, immoral. The worst of the worst.
Let's see, you were late for your appointment and you are blaming them? Maybe they had another client who wasn't late that needed to be seen as well. And if they accommodated you, and had a tight schedule that day, do you think it's fair to make every person that comes after you late too because there was traffic on the 101? Do us a favor, either show up on time like everyone else or go somewhere else...imho :-)
Down-To-Earth Place. I had some, ahem, injections for the first time, and was nervous. I was so appreciative of how calming and smart the staff was, and they really walked me through the process. The botox is about average price, and the treatment was very effective. I will definitely go back there again.
Amazing Facial. My girlfriend kept telling me that I needed to get a facial at Kalologie, so I made an appointment at the Robertson location. I was a bit hesitant at first, since I had never had anything like this done before, but my overall experience was delightful. Everyone was really pleasant, and when I walked in the door I was greeted with a smile from all of the staff present, which definitely helped with my nerves. Jasmine, the esthetician who I saw, was excellent. She made me feel really comfortable and gave me great tips on how I can improve my skin along with some free product samples to help.
Great Laser Hair Removal. Great laser hair removal. I needed it done on my back and neck, and was worried that I would just keep paying and paying with no results. This place has a guarantee, so after my sixth treatment, additional treatments were free. It took them 8 treatments to get my back hair free (I was a gorilla) but I'm really happy with the results.
Completely Amateur. From the onset of making an appointment the staff is rude. It is like a McDonalds of skin care which would be fine if they didn't present themselves as a high end service and if they didn't charge high end prices. Next to impossible to book an appointment.
WORKED FOR ME!.
I went to the branch at Studio City- more convenient for me.
I've tried for years to solve a problem with pigmentation. Creams, peels- you name it. From the friendly welcome, to the professional advice, and the carefully administered treatment....the service here was great. Lovely environment, clean and nice. And...the bottom line is, a long standing problem was successfully resolved by two photo facials. Why did it take me so long to find you?
One-stop spot for premium skin-care products, facials and dermatological treatments.. Set along one of Beverly Hills' most stylish shopping streets, this mini-spa presents itself as a quaint boutique, with a green awning and massive windows framing multiple rows of skin-care products. Inside, internationally renowned lotions, elixirs and masques are displayed on shelves that resemble vanities; several small treatment rooms are tucked in the back. Treatments range from facials and brow shaping to Botox injections and chemical peels to fast zit-zapping. (The $25 cortisone injection will get rid of the blemish within 24 hours.)
Robotic facials, but great laser hair removal.
The facialists are not friendly, are very rushed with extractions, and do not greet you personally on return visits. I have had two here, and haven't seen any improvement. I won't go again, as there is little attention to detail, not to mention human warmth.
The hair removal program is great, in contrast. It may seem a bit more expensive, but they are detailed and thorough. The laser works well, and they have a guaranteed program where after 6 regular visits, you can have free service if any hair regrows. The aestheticians are friendly, professional, and put you at ease. It's worth the money.
Services not as advertised; ginormous disappointment and I'm still annoyed 5 days later!. I saw this beautiful, new skin care salon in Studio City and after reading the "menu," I booked my appointment for the next day. The treatment room was clean and the aesthetician appeared to know what she was doing. Unfortunately, the treatment I received wasn't "as advertised." Nearing the end of the appointment, I asked my aesthetician about the gentle extraction that was advertised and she said she didn't believe in doing extractions as they leave red marks. She told me the masks she gave me were sufficient. Reluctantly, at the end of the appointment she turned on the bright light and said, as she suspected, no extractions were needed. Well, duh, of course she said that. I will never book another appointment there. I suggest others confirm services with the aesthetician before proceeding with an appointment. That was my mistake.... I trusted the salon's menu.
