good thai food, great terrific service, great place, beautiful local thai restaurant, friendly bar staff, very good pad thai, horrible service
BAD MEAT!. their meat was livery tasting and tough! What is it with thai restaurants in particular using cheap subsitutes. Their recipes are good, everything else was tasty, but the meat in both orders was well below average, more like street market quality meat. I AM NEVER GOING BACK
Great service!.
I took a friend here based on these reviews and I couldn't have been more pleased. My friends and I have Thai food all the time at various places in the Pasadena-Glendale area and I've decided that Chadaka will be my preferred place for Thai.
The food is solid with most of your standard dishes. I always try to get the Pad Thai when I go to a new Thai place so I can compare, and I really enjoyed the Pad Thai here. My friend got the peach salad and really enjoyed that. Next time I'll try something more unusual.
What really stood out to me was the decor and the outstanding service. The atmosphere was intimate without being stuffy and it was great to sit outside and people watch. The service was excellent and attentive and I even made it a point to thank the owner for the great service.
It's a good place to go with a few friends and have a good time, or to take a date for an relaxed but intimate dinner.
nice mood, nice food. I've only been to chadaka thai a couple times but I found those couple times very pleasant. The first thing I noticed about this place is it's setting. Although it's not a very big restaurant, the environment is very quiet, pretty, and dim. The food is also very tasty. It's one of the best thai foods I've tasted. It's a perfect place to go eat out with your boyfriend or girlfriend and family as well. It's a walking distance from the mall, movie theater, and other popular stores so after you're done eating, you'll have other entertainments to turn to. Take-outs are also available.
Trendy but not tasty. A reservation is a must for this attractively decorated restaurant. The menu looks great but our chicken and beef were so overcooked and tasted like cardboard. I would never go back.
Make it a Happy Hour Tradition!.
Somehow, Chadaka Thai is easy to pass by, but the flavorful food and innovative drinks make it a place worth hunting down and checking out.
It's my favorite of the owner's three restaurants, especially because I can make it here for happy hour! The discounted drink and appetizer menus is always unexpected and delicious, and it all ends up being very reasonably priced when you split the bill between a few friends.
I recommend the drunken noodles, pineapple shrimp fried rice (NOT overly sweet!), the jungle curry, and the catfish. As for parking, if the closest lot on Palm fills up there are about 10 more within a mile radius--just drive a block or two!
best place for thai food. One of my favorite restaurants in the Valley. The food is great, service is very good, and the staff is friendly. The place is kind of small, but perfect for a first date, or just to hang out with friends. Can't say anything bad about the food. I have tried pretty much everything on their menu and not once have I been disappointed. I am one that doesnt really like curry, but their chicken with curry and coconut milk is AWESOME. I thought it was going to be sweet, but it is just perfect. They also have a good variety of beer, for those who enjoy a nice cold beer. The only problem is the parking, but just park around the corner at the structure and you will be ok. Other good thing is that you dont need reservations, unless you are going with a party of 5 or more. Great place, and highly recommend to anyone!
BURBANK. Yup, again my job at FOX takes me to the valley to get some post work done. Read about Chadaka here at Citysearch, had to check it out. VERY GOOD! Beautiful decor, outstanding food and an incredible happy-hour. Bar staff was very friendly, and to my suprise the customers were great. I'm a self admitted SF snob, so Valley people frighten me. Actually looking forward to my next trip to Chadaka and the San Fernando Valley.
parking???. We had Prok Chop and Musanun curry lastnight. It was really good, service was great, manager came by the table to make sure things are fine. We really need more this type of restaurants in Burbank.
SO-SO. I truly expected much better based on the review I read here. The food was average with a slightly above average price. AND the service was horrible. I would reccomend any of the martinis and the thai fried rice. I DON'T recommend the Thai Beef Salad. The beef was not good at all!!
Great Modern Thai.
Chadaka blends a very laid-back, chill atmosphere with food so good you'll forget you're dining in the Valley. It's not fusion, but more of a modern take on traditional Thai--slightly upscale, but reasonably priced. Highlights include the Crying Tiger, thinkly sliced steak with a tangy citrus sauce, the Siam pork chop and the roast duck. Other standard Thai fare such as curries, coconut curry soups, vegetarian dishes and seafood are also quite good. Ask for the brown rice with your meal; as odd as it sounds it's exceptional.
Chadaka also features a full bar, lunch specials and happy hour drink and food specials. During the week, there's adequate parking in nearby garages or even on San Fernando Blvd., but on weekends parking can be a pain and there's no valet.
