This is a small, charming salon located in Sunland, CA. I've gone by it many times, but never gone in. I took a chance and called on a Saturday, and was able to get in because Wendy had a cancellation.

I went in and asked for highlights, lo-lights, and a new look (no big order on the first visit, right? LOL!) I cannot believe what a great job Wendy did. I LOVE/LOVE/LOVE my color!! The richness of the red, the golden blonde highlights, AMAZING! The cut is perfect, right on target for what I wanted and falls so naturally into place.

I am so happy I found this salon, and it is so conveniently located. There are two independants, and the owner, Taylor (who is also supposed to be VERY good). Great staff, down-to-earth people. Prices reasonable for the area. Their estethician did my brow and lip wax, excellent, also!

Always a wonderful experience. I have been going to Ponytayls since the owner, Taylor, opened a number of years ago. She colors all of my sisters' hair, my mom's and my own. I have never ever seen anyone do a better, more natural looking job. She is an artist at what she does. Truly! I tried other stylists out of town, closer to my home, but always end up going back to her because no one does it better. Her colors are exquisite, and she does both straight and curly hair with equal finesse. Not only that, she's warm, friendly and fun. Her salon is a little slice of comfortable elegance in a horse town, with it's tasteful decor and original professional art. I highly recommend this salon!

Great place!. My family of 5 has been going to Pony Tayls for 5 years for cuts and colors. Taylor is great in 'pleasing' hard to please teenage girls with coloring and cuts every time!

Great Hair Salon, Friendly Staff. Taylor is a great hair stylist and she is so friendly and courteous!!! I give this salon an A++++!!

I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Poor hair coloring, poor cut, explained to owner who didn't care... I can't recommend.. I went to salon for the first time. Brought some pictures of some simple low light examples. I also reviewed hair colors on the chart with the stylist... Now, instead of being blonde with a bit of additional warmth from the low lights I received an all over dark brown, flat color. While I was in the chair I mentioned the color in the container looked dark. I was told that's how color is... i've been coloring my hair from 20 years and I do have some experience. Then I had to prompt them to take color off as it was on too long. When complete, it was really really dark, I made mention of this and the owner told me I looked better with darker color and it would lighten up. It's a week later and it definitely has not lightened up. I went back to the salon and spoke with the owner who gave me the "oh well" speech. There was no sympathy, no compassion, no apology. Now, I have to go to another salon and pay for my hair to be color corrected.
