Tips for Willow Spa

Travel the world and come back here for the most amazing experience. Tranquil, relaxing and the feeling of not wanting to be anywhere else in the world. This spa has stellar service. I wish there was one in Minnesota!!!!

I absolutely love Willow Spa, I go there once or twice a year with my mother. Together we either both get massages at the same time, or one of us gets a massage and the other gets a facial, and the third is sometimes we get two treatments in a day (I believe on Tuesdays you get a discount for booking two treatments).

The location is great because the space really transforms and takes you away from the city streets. The staff is very friendly and coordinated, and they make the experience that much more pleasurable. There are lockers and bathroom/showers where you can leave your belongings (the lockers all have locks that you keep during your treatment). Once you've changed out of your day-to-day clothes and into something more comfortable (i.e. a shirt and pants provided for you), you can lounge outside in the rain-proof patio with heat lamps for the chillier days and nights. The couches are abundant with pillows and blankets, and the twinkle lights pull together the patio for a pleasant atmosphere.

The staff member who is treating you brings you a cup of tea and a nice foot soak. All treatments include this soak and a foot massage before you go inside. I feel like this is a great way to unwind before you really unwind, it's like a two-step process of relaxation.

I have never had a bad massage or facial here. They use all organic and natural ingredient-based products, so what's to complain about!

I'm sure you can get a much better deal on a massage or a facial elsewhere, but when you're paying the price you're paying, you're paying for a lot more than a stale room with a candle. The whole experience is worth it.

Great massage!. My boyfriend got me the Complete Renewal Package for Valentine's Day and it was wonderful! The entire experience was very relaxing and comfortable. The changing area/bathroom area was a little strange but you only spend a few minutes in there. I definitely recommend it!

Best massage! Enzyme Bath is like nothing else! Ask for Julie!. I love Willow Spa!!! It is much cozier and more peaceful than other spas. The natural environment adds so much to the experience. I recommend Julie for a massage or the enzyme bath. She gave the best and most effective massage I have had since moving to LA. The foot soak and foot massage that come with each treatment is a great bonus too!

Amazing!!!!!. I just comepleted my first facial at Willow - I moved from OC to Santa Monica last year and have been disappointed with the selection of spas in the area. Exhale, Burke Williams, Petite - just to name a few. I mean they were "alright" but not great. This is my first review on citysearch. I was so pleased with my organic facial today that I just had to write about it. So tranquil, peaceful, relaxing and my face looks fantastic! Upon leaving I booked my next facial and will continue for as long as possible!!! This place is gem....

Can you say relaxing ten times..... Wow, after saying relaxing I think i will go to sleep but, first come here. If you want to know the real meaning of pampering. I sent my wife here and she loved it. She is like a new person. You will be hooked..

Super relaxing spa day!. Today was my second visit to Willow Spa and I tried the citrus revitalizing treatment and mango polish. My skin never felt softer. On my previous visit I tried the enzyme bath which is quite a unique experience in its self. The atmosphere is tranquil and it is a great oasis found within an urban city. Try it you won't be disappointed!

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!. I was told by a friend how great Willow Spa was and have been meaning to get a treatment there for over two years. I finally did after getting a gift certificate. I want to add that I get massages quite often. I went in with a ton of stress and some serious shoulder pain and came out feeling rejuvenated and like a completely new person. Its hard to believe this spa sits on Santa Monica Boulevard... rather you feel like you are in a tropical oasis... What's even better is that I was so shocked to find how reasonable it for the type of care that you receive... in every treatment I have had so far.. each was amazing... the therapists really seem to care how you are feeling and to do what they can to help you feel better! I will never go anywhere else in LA after this place... highly recommended... parking can be a pain which is the only drawback...

Japanese enzyme bath will erase any tension you have.... Ok, so this Japanese Enzyme Bath thing is amazing. You step into a large vat of what appears to be wood chippings (NOT water -- don't let the "bath" part fool you). The techician adds some enzymes to the mixture so that it begins to heat and heat and heat. (high school chemistry pop quiz: it's an "exothermic" reaction?)....and then covers you up to your neck (you're wearing an old swimsuit, one that might end up with some red stains on it). Every few minutes, they will come back and give you ice-water to sip on through a straw; they will also pat down your face with a cool towel. Meanwhile, they leave you there to MARINATE in an INTENSE heat...honestly, sometimes uncomfortably hot (don't move around -- moving just mixes the enzymes together more and makes things hotter). After you get out, the technician will give you a large brush to get the shavings off....you then shower away the rest (note: the shavings get EVERYWHERE).

After that, you sit in the courtyard, sip tea, and wait for your mini thai massage. Here's the thing -- the intense heat from the bath turns you into jelly....if you've ever had a hot-stone massage, imagine that feeling ALL OVER your body. There is NOT an ounce of tension left in you. It's the most intense physical relaxation I've ever experienced. Hot-diggity!!!
