SoCal Japanese mini-chain satisfies with solid, well-priced sushi , teriyaki, noodles and beyond. – In Short
Interiors boast sleek, modern design, with an eye toward mixing traditional decor with more trendy elements like track lighting and exposed brick. All branches are located near major shopping areas such as Old Town Pasadena, Cerritos South Street and in the Howard Hughes Center. The menu features entrees such as tempura, teriyaki, hibachi plates; noodle dishes like udon and soba; and a full range of sushi. Full bar available along with sake, wine and beer.

Worst service, unauthentic (Korean) Japanese sushi restaurant – I had bad experience with this restaurant....The service is the worst I ever experienced. Like Korean dry cleaner. I don't recommend it to anyone.

GETTING WORSE EVERYTIME – I've been going to Kabuki for 3yrs at least twice a month. However, lately the food quality has been going down the drain., hence, forcing me to experiment with other places such as Octopus or Zono at Burbank.

My husband and I decided to give it another try, at our last Kabuki visit- which was Monday at Burbank, the rolls were half the size they used to be, the fish was old and tasteless. Maybe it was defrosted so many times?! Even the seaweed was soggy and rubbery and not fresh and crisp. Was the sushi chef in a bad mood that day? I dont know- but it was a waste of $80 !! We'll keep it out of Kabuki for a few months, if not, never again...

Yummy Sushi Rolls – Although it might not have the best sushi, their food is quiet good. Instead of getting stuff from their main menu, try getting rolls from their sushi list. My favorites are Lotus Roll, Alaskan Roll, Lobster Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, or if you want a healthier roll, Mountain Roll's good too (wrapped in lettuce). Each rolls are about $7-9 so it's very affordable. For drinks, flavored ice teas are awesome. I always get mango ice tea =) It is usually very packed and busy so it's better to make reservations, especially for dinners. Also, try their desserts. They're really good!

Decent sushi but gets extremely crowded – I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're trying to catch a movie on a Friday night and are in any sort of a hurry. The waittimes can grow to over an hour and the service is almost nonexistant depending on where you're seated. I would suggest coming here for lunch during the week or on offtimes instead.

alright sushi – Although this is a chain, it's food is pretty good. I really like their iced green tea. They serve you edamame for starters. The deep-fried tofu was decent and so was the spicy tuna rolls. It can become crowded on a Friday night, so try to get there early.

Best sushi for less than $20!! – Kabuki is by far one of my favorite sushi restaurants. They have very good quality sushi (very fresh), fast service, and they have a 50% off menu! I can eat my fill of salmon, sea eel, and bean curd for less than $20! I've been to the Burbank location and the Old Town Pasadena location. Both places get pretty busy at night (especially Old Town Pasadena) so it's a good idea to make reservations, especially on the weekend. I like to go to the Burbank location for lunch--i'm seated immediately and get great service when i eat at the bar.

I've had better... – I tried this place twice and at 2 different locations... in Pasadena and Burbank. Both experiences were mediocre at its best. Went to the Burbank location early this year with my boyfriend on a Saturday night to celebrate my birthday... we were seated right away considering it was "date night" for half the population of Los Angeles. The food was, well, nothing to rave about really. I've definitely had better! I got my usual sushi order of yellowtail and eel... my guy ordered something with "shrimp" in it... NOT AT ALL MEMORABLE THAT'S FOR SURE. If you're just looking for something to fill your stomach, I suggest you go to Momotaro on Glenoaks... at least you get your money's worth. If you want to be part of the hustle and bustle of the Burbank nightlife, this could be your spot. BUT DEFINITELY NOT MINE.
