LOVE MY HAIRCUT!. Let me first say...Heather is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!!

I came into the Blue Velvet Salon with a serious hair problem last week and came out looking like a million bucks. Heather gave me the cutest, funkiest, bleach blonde short style out of a mass of unkept dreadlocks! How she did it....well, you'll have to ask her, but she nailed it. I absolutley love the cut & color. It's fun, edgy and so easy to work with! I get compliments daily on the new DO! She was fun to get to know as she tackled my hair issue too. Professional, efficient and comfortable was my experience. I will continue to go to Heather and the Blue Velvet Salon for all my future hair needs! THANKS GUYS!

So happy with my hair, Thank you Heather!. I just found out all my co-workers go to this Salon and see a girl named Heather. I was in desperate need of hair maintenance and itching for a new style, so i made a appointment.

The salon itself is very cute, i felt very at home. Heather is a peitte blonde Gwen Stefani - esque girl, super nice and knowledgeable! I brought in lots of pictures and ideas, I wanted to go from a dirty blonde to red. Heather was really excited for the change and totally up for the challange.

With color done, she re-layer my growing out hair and did a beautiful blowdry. My hair turned out better then i could ever imagined, absolutely gorgeous!!! I'm so happy. Thank you so much Heather!

FINALLY, A GOOD SALON. I've tried many different salons, but none of them have made my hair look amazing while also offering great service. I have gone to Anna for a color and cut as well as extensions, and so far she's never let me down. She is patient while she is working on your hair. Let's face it, some of the people out there just rush and ruin your hair. That happened to me before but ever since Anna did my hair, I never have that problem. I highly suggest having Anna work on your hair. =)

Ventura's best hair salon. great customer service! The hair stylists are very experienced making sure you walk out of the salon feeling beautiful! I've been going to this salon for about three years and had great experience all the time! Ask for Anna! She's great! :)

Wedding Perfection. I couldn't have picked a better team of hair stylists for our wedding. Katrina and her crew perfected each of our vintage hair styles. She created the perfected curls for my 40s look....On the first trial session, she took the time to figure out which curling method would be best for my hair. On the second trial, she used those curls and created the sample do. There were no issues on the actual wedding day....my hair looked perfect. The other bridesmaids and both mothers looked fantastic as well. Her styles are classy and age-appropriate. Blue Velvet is in a league of their own. Thanks again for everything gals!

I found my stylist for life!!!. I have always been a bit obsessed with my hair and I am extremely picky with choosing a stylist. Last year I stumbled upon Anna from some great reviews on this site, and she did NOT disappoint me! She gave me the most bright, blonde, and uniform highlights I have ever gotten, not to mention a great cut and amazing blow-out. I moved 3,000 miles away after going to her twice, but when I moved back I knew that I already had a perfect stylist waiting to do my hair again! Having returned to her just a week ago, I got exactly what I expected.... beautiful, blonde, soft hair that I just had to share with everyone! Thank you Anna!

AWESOME!!!. Katrina did my hair cut and color and she is wonderful. Chelsea did the Brazilian Blowout which came out great -- I can style my hair everyday in less than half the time now, with much more ease. Prices are so reasonable, there is no drama or attitude inside this salon, and the technique of the stylists I have had working on my hair here are excellent.

Love my hair!. Have had my hair cut and colored twice by Katrina and loved it both times. The highlights look natural and last a long time. The haircut holds up well too and I am able to style it on my own and it always turns out looking nice despite the fact I am not one to spend a long time blowdrying/curling/flatironing etc. Despite the fact it is quite a ways from where I live I will keep going back.

Best Salon in Studio City. Blue Velvet Salon is the best place to go for a great hair cut or color in Studio city.

I have been going here for almost 2 years and I would never leave, until they do. lol.

I go to see Heather Hooven, who is amazing, fun and very talented. She has become a good friend and understands a customers needs. She makes every trip very enjoyable and makes my hair a gorgeous blonde every time!

The other employees are very friendly, personable and make you feel at home in the retro, artsy salon.

The prices are the some of the best in the valley and they always make sure to help you out.

Not to mention the great complimentary coffee, tea or other beverages that will make the hair appt even more enjoyable.

I would recommend this salon to anyone looking for a professional hairstyle, at great prices and with very talented hairstylists!

Great salon for color and cut!. Katrina is the owner of the shop and I've been going to her for years for haircuts. Recently, I've been getting highlights, too, which I love. She's extremely consistent, is knowledgeable and has her own opinions, but also listens to what you want. So many of her clients have come from friends telling friends which speaks to how well-liked and respected she is. You would never steer your girlfriends wrong when it comes to their hair!! I also like that you get the full salon experience, but it doesn't have a stuffy, snobby feeling like some salons. And I have friends that have tried several different stylists there when Katrina wasn't available and they have all been good. If you're in the Valley, it's a very convenient location and there's plenty of street parking as well as a few spots in the back. I highly recommend Blue Velvet!
