The second in a string of Historic Core district ventures from nightspot magnate Cedd Moses (Golden Gopher, Liquid Kitty) and his new business partner Joe Baxley, this casual-but-classy cocktail lounge has taken a 4,000-square-foot space adjacent to the restored Orpheum's box office and residential lofts. Decor, by Gopher design partner Ricki Kline, merges the building's historic architecture with the developers' quirky, modern aesthetics.

Weekends can be crowded, but weeknights are perfect for chilling with friends. The music varies but is always good. Cool atmosphere, strong drinks, and great bartenders. Tony Rocks!

Downtown LA is definitely up and coming and in my opinion, The Broadway Bar is the best of the night life bars that have sprouted up within the past couple of years. If your looking for great ambience and atmosphere, this is the spot. Good for a date night or to go out with your group of friends. Reasonable prices, diverse clientele and good bartenders. I went to a show next door at the Orpheum theatre and was pleasantly suprised to find this cool bar welcoming my friends and I. apparently they have dj's on the weekends which is a bonus plus a great upstairs lounge/bar and a balcony overlooking Broadway. Definitely a fun experience.
Pros: great service. good atmosphere
Cons: no restaurants close by
