What People Are Saying About Element

In Short – After a brief hiatus and general spruce-up from owner and former Spider Club manager James Sinclair, this familiar warehouse is once again welcoming an eager dance crowd. The well-worn facade leads to a double-door entryway with billowing curtains. Young clubgoers eye each other under rafter-ceiling, from elevated platform vantages and while posing on oversized lounge furnishings. Brick walls frame three separate bars and two dance floors, in addition to the VIP rooms, which feature their own exclusive shimming space.
Editor's Tips
- Know Before You Go:
- The club is currently available only for promoted dance nights and special events. It can be difficult to get through via telephone--show up early and dressed well if you're not on the guest list.
- When to Go:
- Tuesdays and Saturdays are the big nights to go, and feature hip-hop music, which attracts guests like Jessica Alba and Nick Lachey.
- Parking:
- The valet lot is slow and expensive on Saturdays--try for street parking along Selma Avenue just south of the club.

Once was enough for an Experience

Element is a cool spot. Went there recently for a fraternity hosted party, and it was cool. The DJ was all over the place though...and the diversity levels are relatively low. The one thing I didn't really care for is the on-stage performance by an artist no one knew for real, and the fight that brought out was so not cool.
I had a great time!!!!!

Hey all. I had a cool time at Element when I visited. Really good DJ .... Massive place. Great when rammed on a saturday night.
Great venue for parties - great music - I still love this place

ELEMENT has been going for ages. Sure. But personally I still love the music and the vibe - especially thei special events. I still think it is one of the best places for private parties and it is big enough to not have people in your face. I always like going and find the staff on the door polite and helpful. I can only think that anyone who says otherwise is being agressive as I always go there and they are polite to everyone. They also have a really good team for organising stuff so I had my birthday there and loved it.
- Pros: Great music
empty club..

me and a couple of friends went to element on Wednesday, right before Halloween eve, we only went there because one of my friends lover is a promoter for that wack club..well right when we got to the club there was 3 gurls and 1 guy with us, we were all the on the guestlist and when we got in the front door, the stupid b_ was going to let one gurl in for free and two gurls for 10 $ each and then 20@for my guy friend, even though we were on the list.. stupid club was trying to milk us for money n e ways when we had talk to the other promoter and the other promoter talk some sense to the gurl and we were about to live till finially they let us in for free, once we got in the club...it was empty..nobody was in there..and we were so happy that we didnt pay for the stupid club..the club was small but they did play good music, i could them that..a couple of cute looking guys but dont waste your time at this club... it looks ugly from the outside, and they try to promote this club as its some celebrity club but it was so bad...n e ways dont waste your time here
- Pros: good music, and some wat cute guys
- Cons: the people that work there and the whole club
Don't Waste Your Time

Another generic hole in the wall in LA. I highly doubt any real Celebs like Alba or Lachey would be caught dead in that place. Even if a celeb was spotted in that place, it wouldn't make it cool, they were probably just asking for directions to Le Deux.
I had tables and bottles for 12 on a Saturday night. No problems finding my name on list since there were only about 4 names on the list, total. The problem was paying "top hot spot" prices for the tables when they looked like borrowed booth benches from Denny's. No joking. The benches were made of cheap vinyl and most of them had rips in them. The place looks like it doubles as a mechanics garage in the day. No frills no effort decor. It was about 11:30 on a Saturday night and the place was dead. Well that is except for the d-bags lurking around wearing thier roommates borrowed Affliction shirts.
I had 8 girls and 4 guys. We decided it would be better just to pay the cover and buy our own drinks all night. I'm sure we could've sat down at any one of the empty tables if we wanted to rest. However, the a-hole "doorman" didn't like the fact that we called BS on their VIP section. He forced us out to go wait in line to get in. Mind you, we were the line! There was no one else waiting to get in. He just wanted take what little power he has in life and lord it over us. Poor guy, forcing good paying customers to wait in a pointless line is his only joy in life.
Anyway, the happy ending to this story is that I explained the situation to my promoter buddy and he was able to get us into a decent place called Vanguard. Even at about mid-night, their door people honored my friends request to get us in w/ no waiting. I had 2 to 1 ratio of girls to guys and we had to pay cover, but hey, what do you expect? Mid night in Hollywood? Just arriving? Seems fair. Btw, Vanguard... great choice!
Avoid pretentious doormen and rude bouncers. Element is a wannbe club for wanabe clientele.
- Pros: Atleast I warned you about this place before you went...
- Cons: You didn't listen and went anyway...
