favorite place, creative other creative combinations, good sushi, big party, best pepperseared albacore salad, great banquet room, great saki bombs
Viable option for sushi in the south bay. I agree with the previous review about good sushi being hard to find in the south bay! This place is unique and funky and fresh and tasty. I recomment going for lunch, as it's less crowded and more fresh tasting. The pepper-seared albacore salad is the best, but other creative combinations are also tasty! I hope this place continues to do well.
A glimmer of sushi hope.
Call me spoiled, but the sushi options in Redondo/Hermosa/Manhattan
are overpriced, inconsistent and unoriginal (or worse, all three).
I see people rating places 8's and 9's that are serving dicey nigiri
and week old spicy tuna....with no specialty rolls and service that
makes you want to scream!
I've been on a mission to try all the local spots in an effort to find
a workable sushi joint....so far Sushi Wasabi is the top contender.
Their quality has been consistent, the dining area is large, airy
and unconventially decorated and the list of specialty rolls takes
6 pages in the menu!
The service leaves a little to be desired, but I don't care so long
as the yellow tail sashimi is that fresh!
