Small & Plain, Fake Promotions, Nice Bouncers. It's pretty small and its decor amounts to a stone and metal car garage. Dance floor is tiny, but the DJ was playing some great songs. If you like rap and hip hop, this is the place. Of course, the promotional flyers are mostly BS. Promises of award event afterparties and celebrity hosts are usually just made up to draw crowds.

We were on the guestlist, which usually means nothing except that the promoter gets a cut for having you show up. This night, we walked up to the front, past the line, and the staff let us in pretty quickly. Of course, they did play that whole "price is right" game once we were in the door. The staff tried to get a cover charge and started with $20, then $15, then $10, or then they act like they will kick you out. It's a game most doors play whether you're on a list or not.

Usual, over-priced, weak drinks, as with most places. Just a typical Hollywood spot. Been to better and WAY worse. The bouncers are some of the friendliest around and they are not the abusive, meat heads you usually run into.

i love the djs on sunday. LAX on sunday is by far one of my favorites. Last time I went, Justice was hanging out and DJ Falcon was spinning. The DJs always tear it up on a sunday.

I am tied in with all the top notch hollywood events (ex. H.wood, The Kress, The Playboy Mansion, ETC.). I can get you on the guest list for LAX or refer you to the best venue on any given night. for guestlist consideration to your desired venue, contact me by sending me your facebook link and number of your party to: brookeytp@gmail com

Okay. LAX is small by comparison. Once the club is crowded, its not many places to go. The dance floor is steaming in sweat and heat. And if celebrities are present, you will be stuck wherever you are. The DJ on Glow Thursdays played way too much music from the Bay area, but tried to play music from every region.

I give it a C for effort.

Saturadays. The music is always great but I went on a saturaday recently and it was asian crowd. The dancefloor is too small.

pros and cons. I turned onto Cherokee, passed Geisha House and try to get the $8 structure parking. No luck. So I give up and pay $20 for self parking in the lot between Cherokee and Las Palmas. I thought there'd be a sign that read "LAX". Nope. More like "Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant" The security all seem good-natured yet professional. The inside decor is nice with the jellyfish floating in the illuminated tank at the bar...the mod punch-a-hole black seats in the smoking area...but i dont really understand the world map when you first enter. Crowd was mixed and generally good looking. The bartenders are helpful, the dj was great, but the dancefloor is reallllly small and gets crowded fast. The back patio/smoking area is a nice break from the inside. The womens bathroom...whoever designed the sinks tried a little too hard. You have to pass your hand under the cement block looking thing to find where the water comes out. It's unique but makes the already long line in the bathroom lag.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!. No one listen to the people who are recommending this place. It sucks...Bouncers are pointless small men (stout African American) who FORTUNATELY control the freak show, if it wasn't for them I would waste more time and money at the place. And the people recommending this place are most likely females who would have probably gotten accepted at any other club in the world if they were to try.

Not impress. Not impress. Over price water down drinks. Rude a$$ cashier at the front door. Music was alright... However the overall atmosphere was ZZZZ.

GREAT PLACE TO CELEBRATE YOUR 21ST!. I went here to celebrate my 21st birthday after other clubs were requiring me to pay over $1000 because I had a guestlist of 25 ppl and they said i would have to pay for bottle service. Well this club had the most amazing bouncers in the world. They gave me and my group top priority and let all the girls in for free. Once we got inside the place was really stuffy and there was cigarrette smoke everywhere but after a few drinks we didnt mind too much. It turned out to be a great place because I got 3 tables next to each other and my group had a wing of the club all to ourselves. The dance floor was way too crowded but the music was good. Everytime I went to take a break from dancing, I jumped right back on the dance floor cuz they put a good song on. My whole group had fun even though the drinks were made kind of weird. I took a couple specialty shots at the bar and then when I went back to order the same shots later on, the bartender (a different one this time) gave me some weird mixed drink that tasted like licorice and made me gag. Overall this place was great for my birthday and the supercute bouncer gave us an invitation to go there anytime and receive the same treatment!
