Bouncers stop you for money and drinks cost $20 for a shot!!!!!!. I went out with my girlfriends and the bouncer stop the guys and made them pay him $20 bucks a person just to get to the door. Then they had to pay again to get in the bar. Each shot cost us $20 and a drink costs $25! WHAT A RIP OFF!!!! The bartenders said "F-off after giving us the drinks" and then say "what are you going to do about it!". I was so confused and my guy friends were about to shot the bartendar after the it closed and he walk to his car. This place is such a rip off... and as the night came to a close, the drinks got more expensive. Each drink went to about $35 a drink and the bartendar demanded at least $5 tip per drink served. !!!!!!!!!!! THIS PLACE SUuuuCKS!!!!! Go here to have a bad time and punish your friends =(

LAX not worth the time, money, or effort.. First time here and it was just blah. I heard all the hype elsewhere before reading the reviews here on Citysearch, otherwise I would not have gone. I expected the DJs to be awesome, but they sucked - couldn't mix one good song through. Got on the "guestlists" but still ended up waiting in line for 30-45 minutes. Cover and drinks wayyy over-priced and not mixed well by poorly trained and rude bartenders. Small dance floor and too many people who can't dance but want to fit in. LAX is your typical hook-up/meatmarket club - don't go here for good music or dancing.

Eh?. This place has been on my top spots to go to since the summer and I was super excited to finally get to go rather than just standing in line getting frustrated and going somewhere less trendy. So me and my girls make our way to LAX at around 12 ish or so on a Saturday night. There was no long line......just promoters and bouncers keeping folk outside so it looks as if it?s hard to get inside. My girls and I split between the two lines and they got in immediately while myself and another girl had to wait (and the unattractive card does not even play here) and when we were making our way in.....we got hustled back out. So when we finally got in they made us pay 5 bucks even though the other girls got in free. When I said to the bouncer, "But there?s not even $5 worth of partying left" then he said "Nothings free in Hollywood!" I wanted to cuss him out, but it was my girls? birthday so I reluctantly paid the 5 and found out that the hype on LAX was waaaaaaay off. It was nothing but sleazy guys and air full of hot breath and sweat. The arch. was cool, but that?s about the only cool thing about this overrated spot.

BEST GAY SCENE IN THE ENTIRE WEST COAST!!!. Alright guys, I just flew in from South Beach and had heard all about LAX from my boyfriends. Needless to say I was just dying to go. When I got there the line was absolutely insane. Lucky for me the extremely (cute) bouncer Dan had no problem scooting me right through the door, and past all of the dolled up chicks too. I think he had a crush on me. He really took good care of me, I didn't even have to pay the cover. Once inside there was an abudance of hot guys. In fact, I would say that the boy to girl ratio was at least 3 to 1, love it boys. Honestly, I expected to see a bunch of Euro-trash or Hollywood Women but I was soooooooo plesantly surprised with the enormous number of lovely gay men. In short I will be coming here everytime I'm in the city of angels, and hopefully Dan the bouncer will be there waiting for me ;).

If you dont want to have a good time go here!. WOW I cant believe how rude the bouncers treat people here, let alone the people inside. I got in the place for free and had a short wait in line as my friends had a hook up to get in. But would I wait to get inside this place hell NO! Funny thing is there seems to be more folks outside. Inside gets more filled up as time goes on but why make all the people wait out side when its so empty inside. I even went out side to talk to some girls waiting in line and worked to get them in. Why make girls wait out side!!! o.O The inside is ok they have an outside patio which is a nice plus as you can talk to girls without shouting. Drinks are just not worth it water downed and way over priced! I mean WAY OVER PRICED!!! Best to get your drink on before you go in as the bouncers I notice will get your money before you have to pay again to get in. All I can say is I wouldnt waste my time or money here. I got in free and with a short wait but would not go again. So many better places to go with out the bouncers ego attitudes. Thought they were like that just because we didnt have to pay to get in. But reading other post here its just that them being mean.

Barely worth this review. First time I've ever written one of these, but after the treatment my friends and I received recently, I felt it necessary. The bouncers were the worst I've ever experienced, and in LA that's saying alot. I know the job of a bouncer is not an easy one, but I've seen many handle it like professionals. Not so these chumps. Being abusive to people in line, who's major sin was waiting in line for an hour and not bribing them to get in...Kicking people out to make room for their friends to get in...the list goes on and on. And even after getting in, the drinks are overpriced, the dance floor too small and the decor is as about inspired as the airport it takes its name from.

If the bouncers are doing this without management's knowledge, then I'd recommend that the owners fire the lot of them before they blacken the name of this club. And if the bouncers are acting under instructions from the owner, all I can say is that's disgraceful. This is a service business, SHOW SOME BLOODY SERVICE. In the end, I would avoid this place like the plague. There's just too many other classy places out there to put up with it.

HORRIBLE -- WAY OVERRATED -- DO NOT GO. I received horrible service. The bouncers were extremely rude and let in their "friends" instead of people who had waited more than hour to get in. The drinks are way too expensive and the quality of these drinks is poor. The inside is not very nice, considering the entrance fee.

Crowded, overrated, horrible staff. The line for this place is insane - no matter what time you get there. They let only a few people in at a time and it's usually the bouncers' friends. Once you get in, the drinks are watered down, the music is OK and the crowd is snobby and so are the bartenders and staff. I miss this place when it was Las Palmas. I would never go back!

WORST CLUB ON THE WEST COAST - DON'T GO. Horrible service, water-downed drinks that cost way too much, and nothing but dudes everywhere. All the ladies are down the street at other clubs... go there. You will enjoy your evening so much more if you avoid this place. It even has this odd smell inside like a used, sweaty gym.

DO NOT GO!!!. I wouldn't even think about going there. EXTREMELY disappointed with how unprofessional the bouncers and "security" guards were. MORE disappointed with overpriced drinks (they aren't so good either). Dance floor is small and overcrowded with unattractive people. Bathroom lines were so long you might as well hold it in. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!
