After so many 5-star reveiws do you need to read another? Probably not, but I'm writing one anyway! I met Kevin a few years ago (while getting my hair cut at Old Glory Barbershop) and will not go to another shop now. Kevin is very cool, talented, and experienced.

I recently went to the new shop on Stanford for the first time and it's great! I took a friend with me and she was very needy and nervous--all the guys in the shop were so patient with her (she was driving ME nuts!) and tried hard to put her at ease. I'm a collector and I love going to see Kevin and Rex every time! They treat everyone with courtesy and professionalism, if you're a nervous first-timer or an avid collector.

All the artists I've met at Riptide--Kevin, Deke, Guillermo, and Rex who is occasionally there--take the time to help design unique and specialized pieces. They are great guys and talented artists. They take pride in their work and want their clients to be happy. Check out the website!

Oh, about parking....I had no trouble finding street parking.

I have been planning to get a tat since early high school but was always worried about the pain. I read about Kevin from Citysearch and took the reviewers' advices and got my first tattoo yesterday! It wasn't even close to being as scary as I imagined it to be in my mind! Kevin is very nice and funny, he made the experience memorable and I'll probably be getting my next tattoo from Old Glory too! Also, I like the setting a lot; other tattoo parlors are dirty and blast ugly music and don't really pay attention to the personal needs of the customer, but Old Glory is clean and very professional. Seriously, perfect place, and very reasonable pricing. I got a medium-sized tat on my shoulder and it only cost me 80 bucks which is cheap for LA area. Its only been a day and my tat looks beautiful and I barely feel a thing.

Kevin's Great

I had a tattoo that I got a while ago that I grew tired of and wanted covered up (you know, the stupid ones you get when you're young). I went to Kevin and he was so cool. I had an idea in my head and he let me know what would work and what wouldn't for the cover up. I loved the end result and I went back to him for my other ones and I plan on going back for more.
